Five Palestinians killed in Gaza, as Israel continues ceasefire violations

Wednesday 14-October-2026

GAZA, (PIC)

Five Palestinians, including a woman, were killed and several others injured in Israeli strikes targeting areas of Gaza City, while Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) continued violating the ceasefire agreement through artillery shelling, gunfire, and building demolitions, alongside the expansion of the so-called “Yellow Line.”

Two Palestinians were killed and others injured when IOF troops targeted a vehicle in the town of Al-Qarara, north of Khan Younus in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to PIC correspondent, Basil Nabeel Qishta and A'hmed Rajaa Al-Sha-'ir were killed in the attack on the vehicle in Al-Qarara, north of Khan Younus in the southern Gaza Strip.

The PIC correspondent also reported that Saddam Rami Al-Zaanin was killed and another Palestinian injured by IOF gunfire in Jabalya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

Mu'ahammed Fawzi Al-Jamal also died from wounds he sustained several days earlier in an Israeli strike targeting the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood in southern Gaza City.

Reem Awadh was also killed and several Palestinians injured early Wednesday when Israeli warplanes targeted a residential apartment near Abu Talal Junction in the Al-Rimal neighborhood in western Gaza City.

Field sources reported that Israeli helicopters targeted a residential apartment in the Al-Abbas area of western Gaza City, opposite Nesto Supermarket, sparking a fire that Civil Defense crews later managed to bring under control. Ambulances arrived at the scene and recovered the body of a woman killed in the attack.

Shelling and gunfire across several areas

In Gaza City, Israeli tanks opened heavy fire east of the Al-Tuffa'h neighborhood, alongside artillery shelling targeting the area, while gunfire extended to the Al-Sidra, Al-Sahaba, Al-Daraj, Al-Nafaq, and Yafa areas in the eastern part of the city.

Israeli quadcopter drones also opened heavy fire around Al-Shawwa Square in eastern Gaza City, targeting the movements of residents. The drones were also seen flying overhead and firing toward residential homes in the Al-Rimal and Al-Jundi areas, the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, and the 'Asqoula area.

Drone gunfire was also reported in Jabalia Al-Balad, Al-Nafaq Street, and around Shaikh Radhwan Pond in the northern part of the city, with bullets reaching First Street in the Shaikh Radhwan neighborhood. Meanwhile, military vehicles continued firing in eastern Gaza City and the Al-Tuffa'h neighborhood, alongside intermittent gunfire from a military crane east of Gaza City.

In a related development, Israeli military vehicles rigged with explosives advanced toward the vicinity of Al-Sanafour Junction in eastern Gaza City in preparation for their detonation. A massive explosion was subsequently heard across the city, resulting from a demolition operation carried out by IOFsFive Palestinians, including a woman, were killed and several others injured in Israeli strikes targeting areas of Gaza City, while Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued violating the ceasefire agreement through artillery shelling, gunfire, and building demolitions, alongside the expansion of the so-called “Yellow Line.”.

The Al-Tuffa'h neighborhood witnessed Israeli tank movements along Al-Sikka Street, accompanied by heavy gunfire and an expansion of the so-called “Yellow Line” toward the area, while artillery shelling continued in eastern Gaza City until the morning hours.

Artillery shelling in central and southern Gaza

In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire northeast of Al-Bureij refugee camp, alongside artillery shelling targeting the area east of Timraz Station.

Areas north of the camp also witnessed military vehicle movements and gunfire before vehicles were seen moving eastward and withdrawing toward the “Yellow Line.”

An Israeli quadcopter drone also targeted a kiosk near Atiyan Roundabout, northeast of Al-Bureij refugee camp, with an incendiary device, sparking a fire that neighbors managed to extinguish. No injuries were reported.

In Dair El-Bala'h, Israeli helicopters flew over the city and its western and central areas and carried out an airstrike, while helicopters continued flying overhead and one fired a missile outside the central Gaza Strip.

In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli military vehicles opened fire east and south of Khan Younus, alongside artillery shelling targeting eastern areas, while Israeli gunboats fired shells and opened fire offshore in Gaza’s waters.

These attacks come amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, with ongoing shelling and gunfire across various parts of the Gaza Strip and the expansion of military control into areas where civilians move, further increasing the risks facing residents and threatening their stability despite the agreement remaining in effect.

Two Palestinians wounded, others kidnaped by Israeli occupation forces, in the West Bank

Wednesday 14-October-2026

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Two Palestinians were injured by rubber bullets and several others were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs), during raids in the West Bank and Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), early Wednesday.

According to local sources, two citizens were injured when Israeli soldiers fired rubber bullets at them near a military road barrier between the villages of Ras Karkar and Kharbatha Bani Harith, west of Ramallah.

The IOFs also carried out raids on homes and interrogated citizens during a campaign in different areas of Ramallah, including the town of Dair Dibwan, the village of Burqa, the town of Turmus 'Ayya, and the village of Qibya.

In Tulkarem, Israeli forces kidnaped a wanted young man identified as Nimr Saleh in Dhanabah suburb.

In Qalqilya, Israeli forces raided a house and a store in the city’s Dawoud neighborhood and kidnaped two ex-detainees from their homes.

However, local sources said that the IOFs carried out raids on several homes and kidnaped a number of citizens in Qalqilya City.

In Nablus, Israeli forces stormed different neighborhoods of the city and kidnaped four citizens from their homes.

In Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), the Israeli occupation regime police forces carried out raids on homes in Shua'fat refugee camp and kidnaped a child after raiding his home in El-'Eisawiya district.

Israel escalates attacks in West Bank: Four injured in IOF raids in Jenin, Ramallah and Salfeet

Tuesday 13-October-2026

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Four Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire on Tuesday evening during military raids on the towns of Al-Yamoun and Kharbatha Bani Harith, west of Jenin and Ramallah, respectively.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) also detained several Palestinians and subjected them to field interrogations in Jenin, raided homes and shops, and set up a military checkpoint in the town of Dair Ballut, west of Salfeet, causing traffic congestion.

Local sources reported that the IOF raided the town of Al-Yamoun, west of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank, and opened fire with live ammunition at Palestinians, injuring three of them to varying degrees.

In a related incident, the Palestine Red Crescent Society transported a young man who was injured by IOFs gunfire in the village of Kharbatha Bani 'Harith, west of Ramallah.

At the same time, the IOF raided the Al-Bayadir area in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin, where they detained several Palestinians and subjected them to field interrogations. They also raided a bakery and shops on Nablus Street, near 'Asfour Roundabout.

In the town of Silat Al-Harithiya, west of Jenin, Israeli troops raided several homes and shops as part of a series of raids across different parts of the governorate.

In the town of Dair Ballut, west of Salfeet in the northern occupied West Bank, Israeli forces set up a military checkpoint after raiding the town, obstructing the movement of residents and vehicles and causing traffic congestion.

These attacks come amid escalating Israeli military raids and settler attacks in the West Bank, including killings, injuries, arrests, demolitions of homes and other structures, and restrictions on Palestinian movement, alongside land seizures and settlement expansion.

Since the beginning of 2026, settlers have carried out more than 1,600 attacks resulting in several casualties, property damage, or both, affecting 275 Palestinian communities. Meanwhile, more than 4,300 Palestinians have been displaced as a result of demolitions, evictions, settler attacks, and related restrictions.

The number of structures demolished by Israeli occupation authorities on the grounds of lacking permits has also exceeded 1,100, displacing more than 1,500 Palestinians. These developments come amid continued restrictions on residents’ movement, attacks targeting agricultural land, water sources, and essential means of livelihood, and mounting pressure on Palestinian communities, particularly in rural and pastoral areas.

Dozens of the illegal Israeli settlers defile Al-Aqsa Mosque, in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)

Wednesday 14-October-2026

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

Hordes of the illegal Israeli extremist Jewish settlers escorted by police officers desecrated Al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards, in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), on Wednesday morning, amid tight restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers to the holy site.

According to local sources, 109 of settlers entered the Mosque in different groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards in the morning.

During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount, and a number of them provocatively performed Talmudic prayers.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation regime police imposed movement and entry restrictions on Muslim worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque’s entrances and gates and prevented many of them from entering the holy site.

Overnight attacks by the illegal Israeli settlers reported across West Bank

Wednesday 14-October-2026

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Illegal Israeli extremist Jewish settlers launched attacks across several areas of the occupied West Bank overnight and into early Wednesday, targeting property and blocking roads.

In the northeast of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), a horde of settlers went on the rampage through the town of Mikhmas, setting fire to a mosque, a vehicle and an olive tree.

In the northern Jordan Valley, settlers blocked the road leading to the northern Yarza community, northeast of Tayaseer town in Tubas, and also stole a tent.

In al-Khalil, settlers escorted by soldiers stormed the city of Dura, while another group attacked Palestinian homes in the Khirbet Aqwiwis hamlet of Masafir Yatta and started carrying out acts of vandalism in the area.

In Nablus, local sources said that settlers attacked a home in the village of al-Lubban El-Sharqiya.

Settlement expansion tightens grip on Palestinian herders

Wednesday 14-October-2026

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Israeli settlement expansion is tightening its grip on pastures and agricultural land in the occupied West Bank, as attacks on Palestinian herders and restrictions on access to land and water threaten livelihoods and push more pastoral communities toward forced displacement.

A joint statement by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics and the Environment Quality Authority, issued on Wednesday to mark Arab Environment Day, said pastoral and agricultural settlement outposts now dominate around 1.07 million dunums, or nearly 18% of the West Bank.

The statement, issued under the theme “Sustainability of natural pastures and strengthening resilience,” said West Bank pastures cover around 2,111 square kilometers, or about 37% of its area, with the eastern slopes accounting for 61% of total pastureland.

According to the data, 185 new Israeli settlement outposts were established between 2023 and 2025, including about 130 pastoral outposts and hilltop sites. Settlers seized around 300,000 additional dunums through these outposts in 2025 alone.

The number of pastoral outposts has reached 231 out of around 400 settlement outposts in the West Bank. During 2023–2025, settler attacks and restrictions on access to pastures and water sources displaced 118 Palestinian pastoral communities and groups.

The statement said Israeli control now covers about 42% of the West Bank, 71% of Area C and around 91% of the Jordan Valley, areas of major agricultural and pastoral importance.

Israeli military orders have allocated about 16,200 dunums for settler pastoral activities, while 70 agricultural and pastoral outposts have been legalized. In 2024, Israeli authorities issued land seizure, expropriation and “state land” orders affecting tens of thousands of dunums, in addition to orders changing the boundaries of nature reserves to seize about 20,000 dunums.

The loss of pastures forces Palestinian herding families to rely more heavily on purchased fodder, raising production costs and increasing economic pressure on rural communities. The impact also extends to the environment, as settlement roads, land-use changes and restricted access damage natural habitats and biodiversity.

The statement called for protecting and sustainably managing pastures, rehabilitating damaged areas, supporting pastoral communities and strengthening coordination with national and international institutions.

In Gaza, the situation is also severe. According to geospatial assessments by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization and UNOSAT, only 4,480 dunums of agricultural land were accessible and undamaged as of June 24, 2026, just 3% of Gaza’s total agricultural land.

Together, the figures show growing pressure on Palestinian agricultural and pastoral lands, threatening natural resources, livelihoods and food security in both the West Bank and Gaza.

Pillay: Israeli violations in Palestinian territories amount to genocide

Wednesday 14-October-2026

DOHA, (PIC)

Nobel Peace Prize laureate Navi Pillay said that Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territories are “grave and amount to genocide,” stressing the need to hold Israel accountable for its actions in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and to end the impunity enjoyed by its leaders.

Pillay said in a recent interview with Al Araby TV that “what is taking place in the Gaza Strip constitutes genocide, according to the conclusions reached by the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory and Israel,” which she previously chaired.

Pillay affirmed that she has not abandoned the Palestinian cause since leaving her position.

She stressed the need to continue investigating and documenting Israeli violations, and to report them to the international community, particularly the UN and other bodies capable of halting abuses and protecting Palestinians, especially in the occupied West Bank.

Pillay warned that Israeli leaders persist in defying international law, while the international community is powerless to stop their violations or hold them accountable.

She denounced the US for using its Security Council veto to block action against documented violations and for imposing “unjust” sanctions on the International Criminal Court.

She called for strengthening international justice and ending impunity to ensure respect for international law and hold those responsible for violations against Palestinians accountable.

Two Palestinian women suffer from difficult health conditions in Damon jail

Wednesday 14-October-2026

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

The Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs has reported that female prisoners Basmala Saa'd and Israa Houji are suffering from scabies at Damon prison amid high humidity in cells and a severe shortage of hygiene supplies.

Prisoner Saad has been in solitary confinement since she was assaulted during a violent raid on her cell on October 7, according to the Commission on Wednesday.

Based on testimony provided to its lawyer, the Commission said that 20-year-old prisoner Basmala Saad, detained since March 13, suffers from leg blisters and swelling, and that her medication has provided no relief.

Prisoner Israa Houji, 31, also suffers from severe leg itching that worsens at night and prevents her from sleeping. She has been in jail since February 27.

The two prisoners also reported that the use of tear gas and stun grenades during raids on cells, coupled with the bad and insufficient meals served to them, contributed to the worsening of their health conditions.

Rights group: 9,300 Palestinian prisoners face torture, starvation and medical neglect

Wednesday 14-October-2026

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

The Palestinian Center for Defending Prisoners said on Tuesday that violations against Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli jails have sharply escalated over the three years since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza.

In a new report, the center said Palestinian detainees face torture, starvation, medical neglect, solitary confinement and enforced disappearance, with abuses affecting sentenced prisoners, administrative detainees, women, children, the sick, and detainees held in military camps and closed facilities beyond independent humanitarian and legal oversight.

According to the center, around 9,300 Palestinian prisoners and detainees are currently held in Israeli prisons, including more than 3,100 administrative detainees, about 1,400 people classified by Israel as “unlawful combatants,” nearly 90 women and more than 350 children.

The figures do not include all Gaza detainees held in military facilities, the center said. It added that around 26,000 arrests had been recorded in the West Bank and Jerusalem over the past three years, including hundreds of women and thousands of children.

The report said prison conditions had changed drastically since October 2023, with food quantities reduced, quality worsened, personal belongings confiscated, showers and yard time restricted, family visits banned, and searches and solitary confinement expanded.

Released prisoners reported repeated beatings, prolonged shackling, sleep deprivation, insults, threats, sexual assaults and violations of privacy and dignity, as well as the use of dogs and stun grenades during raids on prison sections and cells.

The center said around 1,500 prisoners suffer from illnesses or health problems amid shortages of medicine, delayed medical tests and treatment, skin diseases, malnutrition and poor hygiene.

Women and children, it added, face degrading measures, lack of personal supplies, psychological and physical abuse, and denial of family contact, while children are deprived of education and age-appropriate care.

According to the report, more than 90 Palestinian prisoners and detainees have died in Israeli prisons and detention centers over the past three years, amid fears that other deaths, especially among Gaza detainees held in military camps, remain undisclosed.

The center also highlighted the role of Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, accusing him of pushing for harsher detention conditions, including reduced food and basic supplies, tighter restrictions and more punitive measures.

It warned against turning the issue of Palestinian prisoners into an Israeli political and electoral tool, including through threats of execution.

The report described the case of Gaza detainees as among the most serious and opaque, saying thousands were arrested during military operations, including civilians, doctors, health workers and journalists, and transferred to military camps and prisons. Many were denied contact with families and lawyers for long periods, leaving relatives unable to obtain reliable information about their location or health.

The center called for the immediate disclosure of the fate of all disappeared and missing detainees, the opening of prisons and military camps to independent international monitoring, legal representation for all detainees, the resumption of family visits, and the provision of food, medicine, clothing and basic supplies.

It also urged the UN, the International Committee of the Red Cross and international rights groups to take concrete action to protect prisoners, investigate torture, deaths, sexual assaults and medical neglect, end solitary confinement and collective punishment, and cancel Israeli legislation allowing the use of the death penalty.

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
