Nine Palestinians murdered by Israeli bombing of police headquarters in Gaza

Wednesday 19-August-2026

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces committed a new massacre against Palestinian police officers on Wednesday afternoon after targeting one of their headquarters in Gaza City, killing nine people and wounding 15 others, according to local and medical sources.

The General Directorate of Police said Israeli aircraft struck the Municipal Police headquarters in Gaza Governorate, causing several deaths and injuries.

The Interior Ministry said in a brief statement that Israel had committed a new brutal massacre against officers and members of the civil police force in Gaza City.

The Ministry of Interior and National Security appealed to mediators and the international community to act urgently to stop the Israeli dangerous escalation and the massacres targeting the police force.

It stressed that all Israeli claims used to justify such crimes are baseless, adding that Israel is seeking to remove the police force from the scene in order to spread chaos within the Palestinian society.

Earlier, a local source reported that one Palestinian was martyred and others were wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting a motorcycle near Camp 2, south of El-Nusayrat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

On Tuesday, seven Palestinians were martyred in another massacre after Israeli forces bombed a café at Gaza port.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza, the death toll since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025 has reached 1,274, while the number of wounded has risen to 4,229. The bodies of 813 people have also been recovered.

So, according to the Ministry reports, the cumulative death toll since the start of Israel’s assault on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,416, with 174,340 wounded.

It added that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and on roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews are still unable to reach them.

Six Palestinians massacred, others wounded in Israeli strike in Gaza

Tuesday 18-August-2026

GAZA, (PIC)

Six Palestinian civilians were martyred, including a child, and several others were injured in an Israeli drone strike near the port of Gaza City, according to reports from Palestinian media outlets.

The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter said that the strike targeted a café at the Gaza City port, killing six people and wounding 10 others, adding that the victims were rushed to Al-Shifa Hospital.

This massacre comes as the Israeli occupation army persists in targeting residential areas and civilian shelters in Gaza on a daily basis despite the ongoing ceasefire.

Gaza Civil Defense recovers 11 bodies from El-Zaytoon rubble

Wednesday 19-August-2026

GAZA, (PIC)

Gaza Civil Defense crews recovered 11 bodies on Wednesday evening from beneath the rubble of the Al-Sawafiri family home in Gaza City’s El-Zaytoon neighborhood after three consecutive days of fieldwork.

Mu'hammad Abu Dthan, executive supervisor of the Civil Defense project to recover the bodies of Palestinians from beneath the rubble, said specialized teams had completed their work at the Al-Sawafiri home and moved to another site in Gaza City to continue search and recovery operations.

The operation is part of the Civil Defense’s project to recover the bodies of Palestinians buried beneath the rubble amid widespread destruction, difficult field conditions, and severe shortages of equipment and resources.

Civil Defense crews had previously conducted field inspections of eight completely destroyed homes where the bodies of approximately 170 Palestinians are believed to remain buried beneath the rubble.

The inspections are intended to determine intervention priorities, coordinate technical and engineering work, and identify the equipment needed to begin search and recovery operations, according to those involved.

Field teams are continuing their work under the project to recover the remains of victims and return them to their families for proper burial.

According to Gaza’s Palestinian Ministry of Health, 1,273 Palestinians have been killed and 4,223 wounded since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, while the bodies of 813 victims have been recovered.

The cumulative toll since the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, has reached 73,407 Palestinians killed and 174,335 wounded.

'Hamas: Targeting Gaza police is war crime and attempt to undermine ceasefire

Wednesday 19-August-2026

GAZA, (PIC)

The Islamic Resistance Movement, 'Hamas, confirmed that the Israeli bombing that targeted, Wednesday afternoon, a headquarters for the civil police in Gaza City, which resulted in the martyrdom of nine people and the injury of 15 others, including a number of police personnel and officers, represents a “war crime” and comes within the framework of the Israeli attempts to undermine the ceasefire agreement.

The Movement said in a statement that the massacre reflects the insistence of premier Benjamin Netanyahu’s government to evade its obligations and refuse to proceed with completing the stages of the ceasefire agreement, pointing out that the targeting came following intensive meetings with mediators, guarantors, and the US envoy to the region, Jared Kushner.

Hamas refuted the claims of the occupation army regarding the targeting of leaders in the resistance, describing them as “false claims” aimed at justifying the direct targeting of the civil police apparatus and civilians.

The Movement considered that the systematic targeting of civil security services aims to create security instability, spread chaos, and strike the foundations of stability in the Gaza Strip, in a way that serves forced displacement plans.

Hamas demanded that the mediators, guarantors, and the US administration take a firm stance obligating Israel to stop its violations, and apply all terms of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier today, sources in Gaza reported the martyrdom of nine people and the injury of 15 others as a result of Israeli bombing that targeted the municipal police headquarters in the center of Gaza City.

For its part, the Ministry of Interior and National Security in Gaza announced that the occupation army committed a “new brutal massacre” against officers and members of the civil police apparatus in Gaza City, confirming that the Israeli claims used to justify the bombing are baseless.

The ministry said that Israel seeks to disintegrate the civil police apparatus with the aim of spreading chaos within the Palestinian society and striking the state of stability.

The bombing comes in conjunction with ongoing talks and diplomatic efforts in Cairo between mediators and resistance factions, at a time when efforts related to the second phase of the roadmap plan continue.

US President Donald Trump announced on July 31, 2026 reaching a “new agreement” to proceed with the second phase of the roadmap. Meanwhile, Palestinian factions accuse Israel of continuing to violate the ceasefire agreement signed on October 10, 2025 in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh, with Arab and American mediation.

47 Palestinian families face imminent displacement by the Israeli occupation forces in Jordan Valley

Wednesday 19-August-2026

JORDAN VALLEY, (PIC)

More than 47 Palestinian families, comprising over 300 people, nearly half of them children, face the imminent threat of forced displacement from their homes in the northern Jordan Valley after Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) and settlers destroyed and severed water networks and pipelines supplying their communities.

Reports by specialized human rights organizations said the measures are part of a systematic escalation aimed at pressuring farmers and livestock herders, whose livelihoods depend on the land, in an effort to force them to abandon their homes and land permanently.

Rights groups said attacks on water infrastructure have expanded in recent days to include the communities of El-Ras El-A'hmar, El-Thala and areas east of 'Attouf, where IOF and settler groups have cut water supply lines and prevented tanker trucks from reaching residents.

The severe water deprivation coincides with accelerated excavation and bulldozing by the IOF troops to construct a new separation wall known as the “Crimson Thread” in the northern Jordan Valley, threatening large areas of Palestinian-owned farmland, orchards, greenhouses and freshwater wells.

The planned wall stretches approximately 22 kilometers, from the 'Ain Shibli area to the Tayaseer military checkpoint in the north, cutting through the lands of Khirbet 'Attouf, El-Ras El-A'hmar and several neighboring communities, as well as privately owned land belonging to Palestinians from Toubas, Tammoun and Atouf.

The wall is expected to completely separate residents from their land and lead to the seizure of approximately 50,000 dunums of fertile agricultural and grazing land, threatening the economic foundations and livelihoods of these communities.

Human rights documentation indicates that since excavation and construction work began in March 2026, the area has suffered extensive damage from the bulldozing of farmland, uprooting of mature olive trees, destruction of crops and demolition of kilometers of irrigation lines.

The destruction comes alongside intensified daily settler attacks carried out under Israeli military protection, including raids on Palestinian communities and grazing areas, road closures, and direct attacks and intimidation aimed at preventing families from grazing their livestock or reaching remaining water sources.

These developments are part of a broader settlement campaign targeting the Palestinian Jordan Valley, which makes up roughly one-third of the occupied West Bank and is considered a vital agricultural and strategic region for Palestinians.

For decades, Palestinian communities in the Jordan Valley have faced policies contributing to both direct and indirect displacement, including the designation of more than 85% of the area as closed military zones or nature reserves while Israeli settlements continue to expand. Residents have also been deprived of basic necessities, including electricity, water and essential services.

The latest escalation reflects an intensified effort to force Palestinian communities from the area and consolidate Israeli control by isolating residents, depriving them of essential resources and leaving their land abandoned.

IOFs launch violent raids, arrests across West Bank

Wednesday 19-August-2026

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a large-scale raid and arrest campaign across several areas of the West Bank on Wednesday, sparking confrontations.

In Bethlehem, confrontations broke out in the town of Tuqu, southeast of the city, where IOF fired stun grenades and tear gas at Palestinian youths.

Israeli forces also raided the town of Bait Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, stormed a home on Al-Saff Street in central Bethlehem, and raided the Dheisheh refugee camp south of the city.

The IOF troops arrested journalist 'Abdul Ra'hman Hassan after raiding his home in Bethlehem.

Meanwhile, Jewish settlers carried out provocative tours around the 'Ush El-Ghurab area east of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem).

In Nablus, the IOFs heavily fired tear gas and stun grenades during a raid on the village of Madama, south of the city, where confrontations broke out. The IOF also raided the town of Baita, Nablus’ northern mountain area, and a residential building near Al-Ain refugee camp west of the city.

Israeli forces also arrested two brothers during a raid on the village of 'Aseera Al-Qibliya, south of Nablus.

In Bait Fureek, east of Nablus, local sources said a settler from a nearby settlement outpost harassed residents by pointing laser beams toward homes in the town.

In Qalqilya, the IOF raided the town of Habla and arrested a young man. They also raided 'Azzoun, east of Qalqilya, after an Israeli special forces unit infiltrated the town and searched several homes.

In Al-Khalil, a large Israeli military force accompanied by two bulldozers raided the city of Al-Dthahiriya. Israeli forces searched several homes in different neighborhoods, converted some into military posts, and closed roads.

The IOFs also raided the Al-'Hafr area of Dair Jareer village, east of Ramallah; 'Arraba village, east of Jineen; Fasayil village, north of Aree'ha (Jericho); Kafr 'Iqab, north of El-Quds (ccupied Jerusalem); and Dair El-Ghusoon, north of Toulkarm.

'Hamas: Israeli settler rituals at Al-Aqsa Mosque are an assault on Muslim identity

Wednesday 19-August-2026

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

'Hamas official, Haroun Nasuddeen warned of the danger posed by settlers’ practices inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque, including Torah study circles, rituals and group prayers, saying they represent a blatant and frenzied assault on the identity of the Arab and Islamic nation, the sanctity and status of the Mosque, and a new fascist Judaization push against Palestinian holy sites as part of Israel’s religious war on Jerusalem.

In a statement on Wednesday, Nasser Al-Din said the Al-Aqsa Mosque will remain exclusively Islamic, and that all attempts by Israel and settlers to alter or erase its features, or impose their rituals inside it, will not grant them any right or legitimacy and will not change the Palestinian people’s and the Muslim nation’s rightful claim to it.

He called for intensified presence and steadfastness at the Mosque and for support for Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem as they confront plans of annexation and Judaization.

Nasuddeen said the escalation of these practices requires urgent action at all official and popular levels to support Jerusalemites as they face incursions, abuse and expulsion orders.

He stressed that attempts to impose temporal and spatial division and seize control of the Al-Aqsa Mosque will be confronted by the will, steadfastness and continued resistance of the Palestinian people, regardless of how far Israel goes in its brutality and crimes.

He called on Palestinians and the Arab and Islamic nations to shoulder their responsibilities toward the Al-Aqsa Mosque and prevent settler incursions and Judaization rituals from becoming normalized.

Protecting Jerusalem and its holy sites, he stressed, requires efforts at all levels to confront the Israeli occupation and thwart its settlement and Judaization plans.

Hind Rajab Foundation rejects Israeli investigations: justice cannot come from perpetrator

Wednesday 19-August-2026

GAZA, (PIC)

The Hind Rajab Foundation, an international organization advocating for Palestinian rights, has expressed distrust in the Israeli occupation army’s decision to open internal criminal investigations into the killing of Palestinian child Hind Rajab and members of her family, as well as paramedics, in January 2024.

In press statements on Wednesday, the foundation said the move comes amid mounting international pressure and scrutiny over violations committed in the Gaza Strip, saying that Israeli internal investigations frequently end without genuine accountability or meaningful punishment for those responsible.

The foundation stressed that Israeli internal investigative mechanisms should not be relied upon in such cases, saying they cannot serve as a substitute for international justice and accountability mechanisms.

It called on governments to launch independent investigations, arrest and prosecute those responsible for crimes Israel is accused of committing, and ensure that those involved are held accountable.

The Israeli occupation army announced on Wednesday that it had opened internal criminal investigations into the involvement of its forces in the killing of six-year-old Hind Rajab in January 2024, as well as 15 aid workers in the Gaza Strip in March 2025, following reviews conducted by the military’s Fact-Finding Assessment Mechanism.

The army said the investigations were part of its review of incidents that occurred during military operations in the Gaza Strip.

Hind Rajab was killed alongside members of her family and paramedics who attempted to reach her in Gaza City’s Tel El-Hawa neighborhood during the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza.

The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF), headquartered in Brussels, was established in September 2024 by human rights activists during the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza and named after the Palestinian child.

The foundation focuses on pursuing legal action against Israeli soldiers and commanders and challenging a policy of impunity. Its work includes collecting digital evidence and testimonies, identifying soldiers involved in violations, particularly dual nationals, and filing criminal complaints against them before national courts in different countries under the principle of universal jurisdiction.

The foundation also submits documented case files and formal complaints to the International Criminal Court concerning violations it accuses Israeli forces of committing.

Israel preparing execution wing for Palestinian prisoners, rights group warns

Wednesday 19-August-2026

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has warned of the danger posed by the Israeli occupation apartheid regime beginning preparations for a dedicated wing for Palestinian political prisoners sentenced to death, including a chamber for carrying out executions, calling for urgent international action to halt the measures.

'Abdullah Al-Zaghari, head of the PPS, said the move comes as the Israeli occupation turns legislation and incitement into concrete measures targeting Palestinian prisoners. He described preparations to carry out death sentences against them as a “crime against humanity.”

Al-Zaghari said the Israeli Knesset passed a law in March allowing the death penalty to be imposed on Palestinian prisoners. Under the law, Palestinians convicted of murder before military courts would face a mandatory death sentence unless the court determines that exceptional circumstances justify reducing the sentence to life imprisonment.

Israel 24 reported Tuesday, citing the office of far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, that preparations had begun for the first dedicated wing for Palestinian prisoners sentenced to death, including a special execution chamber.

In a video filmed at the construction site, Ben-Gvir said Israel had fulfilled its pledge to pass the death penalty law and that the death-row wing and execution facility were beginning to take shape.

Al-Zaghari said the measures were also part of Israel’s use of Palestinian prisoners as a “political bargaining chip,” pointing to killings and abuse against detainees.

He added that the Israeli occupation has for decades occupied Palestinian land and subjected Palestinians to repression and killing, while also targeting religious holy sites, particularly in Occupied Jerusalem.

Data cited by Palestinian and Israeli human rights organizations show that more than 9,400 Palestinian prisoners are being held in Israeli prisons, including 92 women and more than 370 children, amid reported torture, starvation and medical neglect.

Al-Zaghari held the international community responsible for allowing abuses against Palestinian prisoners to continue, arguing that “international silence” has enabled Israel to pursue increasingly repressive measures. He said the international community now faces a critical test to halt crimes against prisoners.

He said more than 100 Palestinians have been killed inside Israeli prisons as a result of torture, assaults, sexual violence, malnutrition and the spread of disease.

Al-Zaghari accused Ben-Gvir of pursuing a policy of revenge against Palestinian prisoners, pointing to his repeated raids on prisoners’ cells and detention areas. He said Israeli measures are intended to strip Palestinian prisoners of fundamental human rights guaranteed under international law.

Palestinian women political prisoners subjected to violent raid in Damon Prison

Wednesday 19-August-2026

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

The Asra Media Office (AMO) revealed that Palestinian women political prisoners in the Israeli Damon Prison were subjected to a violent raid carried out by the Israeli occupation Yamaz forces at dawn Tuesday, after repression units stormed the sections and forced all women prisoners out of their rooms into the prison yard amid harsh and degrading treatment.

In a statement on Wednesday, the AMO said the raid included restraining the women prisoners, blindfolding them, forcing them to lie face down on the ground and keeping them in that position for nearly an hour, in a blatant violation of their dignity and basic rights.

According to the statement, Yamaz forces also removed all clothing, underwear, shampoo, shoes, medication and personal belongings from the rooms and threw them in the trash, leaving only one roll of tissues in each room. The office described the measure as arbitrary and humiliating, saying it worsened the already harsh living conditions endured by the prisoners.

The raid was also accompanied by the isolation of several women prisoners in two rooms, while one prisoner was transferred to solitary confinement despite suffering from health problems. This came as scabies continues to spread among most of the women prisoners and their health conditions deteriorate in the absence of necessary medical care.

The Asra Media Office said the ongoing campaign by the Israeli prison administration against Palestinian women prisoners in Damon Prison, through repeated raids and brutal assaults, exposes the level of sadism and abuse they face in clear violation of their rights and human dignity.

It called on human rights institutions, international organizations and relevant authorities to assume their responsibilities toward the women prisoners, act urgently to stop the raids and abuse, ensure the provision of health care and basic humanitarian needs, and hold those responsible for these violations accountable.

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
