Israeli War Crimes in Gaza Made Possible by
the Enablers Who Help Israeli Oppressors
		By Mohammed Khako
		Al-Jazeerah, CCUN, July 20, 2016
"There are three classes of men [and women] are cut off
from the blessings of Paradise: Oppressors; those who aid and abet
oppression; and those who tolerate oppression." Imam Ali Bin Abi Talib
The crisis caused by the Israeli bombardment residents of Gaza is
unlawful, un-justifiable and violation of article 33 of the Fourth
Geneva Convention. The World leaders and United Nation Security Council
do not want to condemned Israeli military action in Gaza. This is
nothing new; United States has vetoed over 50 resolutions sought by the
council since 1972.    Israel’s bombardment of Gaza bears all the
hallmark of the war crimes. What Israel is doing is wrong, and we need
to Speak up! Silent No More! Israel atrocity will continue, as long
international communities remain silence. This is not the act of peace
making; this is the evil act of destroying a Nation. But what pains me
greater is the  silence on this humanitarian tragedy.   However,
those deserving the un-equivocal condemnation are the Arab and Muslim
leaders who instead of standing up to Israeli war crimes and defending
innocent Palestinians have helped Tel Aviv to commit these crimes
against humanity. Edmund Burke said “Evil flourishes not because of evil
men, but because good men do nothing about it”.   The Israeli
attacks, in retaliation for rockets fired by the Palestinians are poor
reasoning and does not contribute to the security of Israel. But when
Israel continue to bombard and siege Gaza, they lose sympathy all around
the world, including the majority of Israelis and Jews. However, the
real cause of the rocket attacks is the blockade of Gaza.    And
when it comes to “self-defense”, the question is does Israel actions of
denying food, water, electricity and medicine to the resident of Gaza
guarantees the security of Israel or does it creates more forces of
extremism? I think it give rise to a new generation of Palestinians to
seek arms to retaliate against their oppressors. The siege of Gaza
neither advance the goal of Israel to have a permanent homeland in
Middle East nor does it bolster the moderate Muslim states to have
friendly ties with the Jewish state. In fact it weakens the Arab leaders
in the eyes of their outraged    Mother Teresa had said, "If you
want to make peace, you talk with your enemies, and not your friends".
The Neo-cons and the Israel lobby has duped American Administrations not
to talk with Hamas, while the media, is conditioned not even to ask the
other point of view.  According to numerous studies, op-ed columns
and books, that our Middle East policies are dictated by AIPAC, which
does more harm to Israel than good. While the genocidal Israeli assaults
against Palestinians have further tarnished the US image and US is not
seen as an honest broker between the Palestinians and Israelis.
