ADL Tightens 'Domestic Terrorist' Noose Around Christians

By Rev. Ted Pike

Al-Jazeerah, CCUN, August 15, 2011

In attempting to end free speech and criminalize Christians, the Anti-Defamation League (architect of hate laws worldwide) is promoting two contradictory agendas. First, it warns Congress that Islam is highly vulnerable to extreme interpretation by Muslim terrorists. At the same time it derides “Islamophobe” Christians for fearing Islam and Sharia law! ADL characterizes anti-Jihadist evangelicals (even if they are staunchly pro-Israel) as “haters,” whose inflammatory criticism of Islam inspires anti-Islamic terrorists like Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik.

Why ADL's conceptual schizophrenia?

To pass Christian-persecuting “anti-terrorist” laws, ADL must first magnify the threat of Islamic terror. The many instances of Islamic-based violence provide high-octane arguments to persuade Congress to limit freedom. But the agenda of portraying the religious right as a threat to freedom and diversity – arguing that violence-inciting Christians should also be penalized under anti-terrorist laws, must also go forward. Thus, ADL expresses abhorrence at Christian criticism of Islam.

Only by coordinating creation of new legislation spawned by fear of Islam, and at the same time heightening public fear of “Christian” terrorism, does ADL believe it can accomplish sweeping anti-terrorist laws that will envelop both Jihadists and Christians.

ADL, in statements such as the following, recently testified before the Senate Department of Homeland Security, warning that radical Islam is a top security threat.

“Americans motivated by radical interpretations of Islam constitute a growing and increasingly dangerous domestic terror threat.  Since the September 11 terrorist attacks, nearly 200 Americans have been charged for their roles in various bomb plots and conspiracies in the U.S., as well as for providing material support to Islamic terrorist groups.

American Muslim extremists fueled by hatred of Jews and Israel have planned a number of terrorist attacks within the U.S.

About one fourth of those arrested since the September 11 attacks have been converts to Islam who embrace the most extreme interpretations of the religion.

The shooting at Fort Hood demonstrates the particular danger posed by so-called "lone wolf" extremists who, though unaffiliated with terrorist groups, share their radical interpretations of Islam and ideological goals

An increasing number of American women motivated by radical interpretations of Islam have been involved in terrorist activity ranging from planning terrorist plots, to raising funds and provided material goods to foreign terrorist organizations.

American Muslim ideologues living abroad are increasingly using their online pulpits to reach and influence audiences in the U.S. with ideologies of extreme intolerance and violence.

Now listen to ADL reverse itself.

Abe Foxman, in yet another warning to the general public of how dangerous Christian/conservative criticism of Islam is, said this past week,

Adherents of this ideological Islamophobia view Islam as an existential threat to the world, especially to the ‘West.’ Moreover, they believe that leaders and governments in the Western world are consciously or unconsciously collaborating to allow Islam to "infiltrate" and eventually conquer democratic societies. Left-wing ‘multiculturalist’ sentiments tear down traditional European culture, they argue, allowing Muslim immigrants to replace it with ‘their own’ culture and values. The result, they claim, will be the demographic, cultural and, eventually, political suicide of the West -- unless action is taken to stop it.

Foxman says the American right is in the throes of anti-Islam hysteria, comparable to emerging early 20th century anti-Semitic (Nazi) movements in Europe! “This belief system goes far beyond anti-Islamic prejudice based on simple religious or racial grounds. In a sense, it parallels the creation of an ideological -- and far more deadly -- form of anti-Semitism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries on the backs of the previously dominant cultural and religious forms of anti-Semitism.”

Such Nazi-like bigotry among evangelicals, Foxman suggests, is proliferating rapidly. He says “many people hold views similar to Breivik's. In the United States, we have seen frequent manifestations of this ideology, including the eager promotion by anti-Islamic zealots of a growing conspiracy theory about "creeping Sharia law." The obvious danger to Americans and Europeans is that, as this movement grows and solidifies, more people may become motivated to violence by this hateful ideology.” (ADL.org, “Norwegian Attacks Stem From a New Ideological Hate”)

Should Anti-Muslim Words Be Illegal?

ADL defames Christian speech as providing the fuel to ignite bias-motivated violence against Muslims and even politicians who support Muslim rights.

Can the words of American Christians be held against them in federal court?

Yes, says Rep. Louis Gohmert. He warns that under Title 18 Sec. 2a of the “Hate Crimes” Section of the Civil Rights Act of 1965, a pastor or talk show host or other person can be indicted if their words “induce” someone to commit a violent hate crime.

This section of the Civil Rights Act was largely unenforceable until passage of ADL’s Federal Hate Law in 2009, the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act. As an amendment to the Civil Rights Act, the federal hate law now gives the government enforcement powers of Sec. 2a. The hate law gives Islam special protections from hate crimes not afforded to Christians. (Watch the NPN films "Stop The Pedophile Protecting Hate Bill!"and “Holder Admits: No Equality Under Hate Bill.”) If the US Justice Department believes anyone’s public speech has promoted an anti-Islamic hate crime, Gohmert suggests, there is nothing restraining prosecution of the speaker as a federal hate criminal.

What does restrain enforcement of Section 2a? A decade of criticism from the religious right has generated a very high level of suspicion of hate crimes law. Fearing a challenge to its blatant unconstitutionality, ADL is reluctant to pursue its enforcement with the persecutive zeal it has displayed in other hate-law countries.

Making Christians into Criminals

ADL also lacks strong public consensus that criticism of Islam is very, very bad and that evangelicals are primary offenders. ADL and the Jewish-dominated media (See, Jews Confirm Big Media is Jewish) and the educational establishment must persuade a new generation of Americans that Islamocriticism is not free speech but “hate speech,” outside protection by the First Amendment. Can most Americans really be conditioned to believe that those who criticize or even vilify Muslims are themselves “domestic terrorists?”

If ADL is unexposed and uncontested, it is well within the power of Jewish supremacists to create massive negativity against “Islamophobic” Christians. We have already witnessed Jewish media power to transform public attitudes toward abortion and homosexuality. With Republicans in Washington restraining new ADL legislative initiatives, ADL and the Southern Poverty Law Center are wasting no time influencing such bodies as the Department of Homeland Security, Senate Homeland Security Committee, FBI and Justice Department to consider including anti-Muslim Christians on the “domestic terrorist” watch list.

ADL ceaselessly pressures and indoctrinates—sometimes in seeming contradiction to itself—both governments and societies toward its long-term persecutive objectives. Jewish supremacists in media, education and government have already lowered America’s moral and patriotic values and subdued criticism of the nation they work for, Israel. As ADL strains to achieve its ultimate goal, the destruction of Christianity under a Judaic new world order, its task is to bring society into such agreement with its twisted values that eventually passage of harshly anti-Christian speech crime laws will be a mere formality.
