While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

84 days of starvation: Israel tightens Gaza siege, blocks aid

Saturday 24-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza reported that Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) have maintained a complete blockade on the Gaza Strip for 84 consecutive days, enforcing deliberate policy of collective starvation and systematic genocide.

In a statement issued Saturday, the PGMO said that the IOFs continue to seal all crossings, deny fuel and humanitarian supplies, and paralyze critical infrastructure such as hospitals and bakeries.

Despite international appeals, Israel has allowed in only a fraction of the aid needed, with fewer than 100 trucks entering in recent days — less than 1% of what is required to meet basic needs.

The PGMO warned that over 46,000 aid and fuel trucks meant to support Gaza’s population remain blocked, while hundreds of thousands of tons of aid are rotting abroad. Israel, it added, manipulates the narrative by claiming to allow aid, while tightly restricting and endangering its delivery.

According to the statement, the IOFs forced aid convoys to use unsafe, drone-monitored routes, exposing them to armed robbery.

It accused the IOF of enabling such attacks and deliberately targeting aid workers, citing the recent killing of six humanitarian staff members.

The PGMO also said that more than 90% of Gaza’s bakeries remain non-operational due to fuel shortages, and international organizations are being barred from directly distributing food, worsening famine conditions for over two million people, particularly women, children, and the sick.

The Office documented alarming consequences from the siege, including:

58 deaths from malnutrition. 242 deaths from lack of food and medicine, mostly elderly. 26 kidney patients died due to lack of care. Over 300 miscarriages linked to severe nutrient deficiencies.

The statement held Israel and states complicit in the genocide fully responsible for the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe and called on the international community to act immediately to halt the blockade, ensure unrestricted aid access, and stop the use of starvation as a weapon of war.

European rapporteur: Israeli acts in Gaza point to ethnic cleansing, genocide

Saturday 24-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Saskia Kluit, rapporteur of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, has asserted that the Israeli occupation army actions in Gaza constitute “ethnic cleansing and genocide.”

“The massacre underway in Gaza is man-made and an enormous tragedy for our shared humanity as we allow it to unfold unhindered before our eyes,” Kluit said in a press release on Friday.

“With the full blockade of essential humanitarian supplies since March 2, 2025 and the resumption of a full-scale attack on the territory by the Israeli authorities, the situation has deteriorated beyond imagination. Children are the first victims of this systematic violence. Without food, clean water, medical care and safe shelter, their right to life is being denied. The very few goods being allowed in by the Israeli government are not sufficient to feed the population and they are not reaching the most vulnerable. Children are dying of starvation,” according to the statement released by the European official.

“It is clear that the Israeli government is not respecting international humanitarian law which requires that humanitarian aid be delivered unconditionally, unhindered and in sufficient quantities to sustain the health of a population,” Kluit said.

“The Palestinian population in Gaza is confined to an ever-shrinking space, with no escape and no respite from bombings and attacks. The so-called safety zones offer no safety at all.”

“All this, combined with the declarations on the Gazans by members of the Israeli government, makes it very hard to ignore that these acts point in the direction of ethnic cleansing and genocide.”

“Recalling our Resolution 2582 (2025), I once more urge Israel to immediately stop the killing of the population in Gaza and fully respect its commitments under international law, to immediately grant independent, neutral and unhindered access by humanitarian organizations, such as UNRWA, and to ensure that an adequate supply of essential goods in the Gaza Strip is immediately guaranteed. Vulnerable groups should be given extra help and support. Plans to remove the population of Gaza from the territory, which would deny the right of Gazan children to a future life in their homeland, must immediately be denounced and withdrawn.”

“The international community must now fulfill its duty in speaking the truth and follow its legal obligations under the Geneva Conventions, including the genocide convention. I urge the member states of the Council of Europe to do everything in their power to ensure the ceasefire is restored and international law is respected.”

“The people of Gaza are human beings and must be protected as such – the collective punishment and the dehumanization of Palestinians must stop now,” her statement concluded.

PCHR: IOF targets aid protectors, shields armed thieves in Gaza

Saturday 24-May-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) has strongly condemned the deliberate and deadly attack by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on security personnel and civilians who were protecting humanitarian aid convoys in central Gaza.

According to a statement issued Saturday, the attack occurred on the night of May 22, when armed individuals ambushed aid trucks near Deir al-Balah. Security teams and community protection groups attempting to intervene were hit by missiles fired from Israeli helicopters and drones, resulting in multiple deaths and injuries, while the armed thieves responsible for the ambush remained unharmed.

The PCHR described the attack as a “compound crime,” noting that IOF drones also targeted civilians attempting to rescue the wounded, and struck the site again minutes later, killing and injuring more people.

The human rights organization stated that five bodies were recovered and six injured individuals were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

PCHR accused the IOF of systematically targeting those involved in humanitarian efforts while facilitating looting and chaos, as part of a broader strategy to manipulate aid distribution for political ends. The group warned that this serves the Israeli aim to manage hunger in Gaza as a weapon of control and displacement.

Highlighting what it called “a clear pattern of targeting aid and rescue workers,” the center said these actions are further evidence of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, now entering its second consecutive month, after resumption of genocidal war that had started on October 7, 2023.

PCHR renewed its call for urgent international action to stop the genocide, lift the blockade, and guarantee unhindered humanitarian access across the Gaza Strip under international supervision.

Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar: The doctor who couldn’t save her ten children

GAZA, May 24, 2025 (WAFA) –

As the sun rose over Gaza on a Friday morning, Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar, a doctor at Nasir Medical Complex in Khan Younus, kissed her ten children goodbye and left for work, unaware it would be the last time she would see them alive.

Just hours later, as she bent over wounded children — the survivors of relentless Israeli airstrikes — the charred and dismembered bodies of her own children were being transferred one by one to the hospital’s morgue.

The irony was unbearable: the doctor who had spent months saving Gaza’s children amid an ongoing Israeli campaign of extermination could do nothing to save her own. An Israeli missile, part of a so-called “precision” targeting system, struck her home in the Qizan Al-Najjar neighborhood east of Khan Younus. It killed all ten of her children — the youngest only six months old — along with her husband, Dr. 'Hamdi Al-Najjar.

The missile did not simply kill. It burned, shattered, and erased. Some bodies arrived without heads. Others were beyond recognition. Dr. Alaa, who had kept Gaza’s children breathing through pain and rubble, now stood helpless before the remains of her own family.

“The bomb knew who was inside”

According to Dr. Suhair Al-Najjar, niece of the late Dr. 'Hamdi and herself a physician, the Israeli military first fired a missile that failed to detonate. Minutes later, a second, deadly strike followed — flattening the house without warning.

“They knew,” she said, choking back tears in an interview with Anadolu. “They knew that inside were ten children and two doctors. They knew, and they did it anyway.”

The surviving child, gravely injured, now lies in intensive care with his father. Whether he is aware of his siblings’ deaths is uncertain. Whether he will survive is equally unknown.

The Israeli military, which claims to use advanced surveillance and targeting technologies, had the capacity to identify every person in that home. The strike came just three days after far-right Israeli politician Moshe Feiglin publicly called for the elimination of Gaza’s children. “Every child, every infant in Gaza is an enemy,” Feiglin told Israel’s Channel 14.

The Al-Najjar family’s destruction now stands as a chilling embodiment of that rhetoric turned reality.

"We couldn't even kiss them goodbye"

At Nasser Medical Complex, where Dr. Alaa has treated countless children wounded in the war, her own grief now hangs heavy in the corridors. “The bodies were so badly burned, so torn apart,” Dr. Suhair said. “We couldn’t even say goodbye. We couldn’t kiss their foreheads.”

Seven of the ten children's bodies were recovered from the rubble. Two remained trapped beneath what was once a home. Emergency crews did what they could, but the destruction was near total.

This family’s tragedy is far from isolated. Gaza is enduring what 80 countries described in a joint statement to the United Nations as “the worst humanitarian crisis” since Israel's genocide began on October 7, 2023. More than 176,000 Palestinians have been killed or injured, the majority of them women and children. Over 11,000 remain missing.

The face of loss, the voice of Gaza

Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar has become, unwillingly, the face of that loss. Her personal story, marked by selfless service and unimaginable grief, is one of thousands — but it resonates with brutal clarity.

She is a healer who could not heal her own. A mother who could not hold her children one last time. A witness to Gaza’s pain, now bearing its deepest scars.

According to local sources, the raids targeted the cities of Jineen, Nablus, and Toulkarm.

In Nablus, Israeli troops stormed the Rafeedya neighborhood and raided a residential building, while eyewitnesses reported a separate operation in the Balata Al-Balad district, where two brothers,' Izzuddeen and 'Aamir Duwaikat, were kidnapped, following a search of their home.

In Jineen, the IOFs entered the eastern neighborhood at dawn, raiding and searching multiple homes. One resident, Rabi'h Nassar, was kidnapped during the operation.

Meanwhile, the IOFs launched a late-night Friday raid on the town of Kufr Al-Labad, east of the city, with military vehicles seen patrolling the streets and establishing checkpoints.

Eyewitnesses reported that passengers were forced out from their vehicles, searched, and subjected to on-the-spot interrogations. Soldiers also fired stun grenades, stormed several homes, and occupied rooftops. Two young men were kidnapped during the incursion.

These campaigns come amid a broader escalation of Israeli aggression in the West Bank, including Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), coinciding with the ongoing war in Gaza.

According to Palestinian health and human rights organizations, IOFs and settlers have killed at least 969 Palestinians and wounded around 7,000 in the West Bank since October 7, 2023. Over 17,000 Palestinians have been arrested in the same period.

In Gaza, the humanitarian crisis continues to worsen. Palestinian sources report that more than 176,000 people, mostly women and children, have been martyred since the beginning of Israel’s genocidal war, in addition to over 11,000 remain missing, while hundreds of thousands have been displaced, amid what rights groups and observers describe as a campaign of systematic destruction.

The US-backed Israeli genocide has drawn international condemnation and accusations of war crimes, as the death toll and displacement continue to climb.

It is noteworthy that colonists demolished tents and huts in the Al-Buwaib area east of Yatta and carried out continuous attacks on citizens' property with the aim of forcibly removing them from their lands for the benefit of colonial expansion.

Illegal Israeli settlers set fire to Palestinian land east of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, May 23, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers Friday night set fire to a plot of land located between the villages of Al Mughayyir and Khirbat 'Abu Fala'h east of Ramallah, according to local sources.

Sources told WAFA that the colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, set fire to around 200 square meters of land situated between the two villages.

They noted that such arson attacks by colonists targeting Palestinian lands in the area have become a near-daily occurrence.

The settler violence against Palestinians and their properties has dramatically increased since the onset of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7th, 2023.

The indiscriminate violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinian civilians and their properties has been widely condemned.

Several countries have imposed sanctions against Israeli colonists accused of committing acts of violence against the Palestinian people in the West Bank.

UNRWA chief: Israeli aid plan for Gaza “will not succeed”

NEW YORK, May 24, 2025 (WAFA) –

Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), has criticized a proposed Israeli aid delivery plan for Gaza, stating it is unworkable and incompatible with basic humanitarian principles.

In a statement published Saturday on UNRWA’s official Facebook page, Lazzarini said, “It is not possible for a humanitarian organization, which truly respects the basic humanitarian principles, to adhere to such a scheme.”

“I do not think that such a model will succeed. This model seems also to be put in place in order to support more a military objective than a real humanitarian concern,” he added.

The remarks come as humanitarian agencies warn of deepening crisis conditions in Gaza. According to the World Food Programme, nearly two million people face the risk of severe hunger and famine unless immediate action is taken.

UNICEF: Medical teams in Gaza operating under extreme pressure

GENEVA, May 24, 2025 (WAFA) –

Medical teams in the Gaza Strip are operating under extreme pressure due to severe shortages of medicines and medical supplies, compounded by frequent power outages and a lack of fuel essential for running hospital equipment, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned on Saturday.

In a statement published on the agency’s official website, UNICEF spokesperson Kadthim Abu Khalaf said the situation in Gaza is deteriorating rapidly and could spiral into a long-term humanitarian catastrophe if not addressed urgently. “We are not asking for the impossible. We are asking for the implementation of international law, which guarantees civilians the right to health care, life, and freedom of movement,” he stated.

Abu Khalaf emphasized that children, women, and elderly individuals in critical condition are dying each day due to the inability to access adequate medical treatment. He stressed that humanitarian aid alone is not sufficient to address the crisis, urging for a comprehensive plan to rebuild the local economy, stabilize border crossings, and ensure the steady entry of goods, fuel, and medical supplies.

The health system in Gaza, he noted, is nearing total collapse due to continuous Israeli airstrikes and a prolonged blockade. Of the 36 hospitals that were operational before the start of the war, only 18 remain partially functional, most running at less than 50% capacity.

Moreover, he noted that more than 10,500 injured Palestinians urgently need to leave Gaza for treatment abroad. However, the current rate of medical evacuations stands at just two people per day. “At this pace, it would take over 13 years to evacuate all those in need of urgent care,” Abu Khalaf warned.

20 French journalists' associations call for immediate evacuation of journalists from Gaza

PARIS, May 24, 2025 (WAFA) –

Around twenty journalists' associations in France, including those affiliated with France 24, Le Monde, and Radio France Internationale, have called for the evacuation of French journalists and media workers from Gaza.

The letter from the associations read, "We call on the French authorities to do everything possible to enable the evacuation of Gazan journalists, fixers, and drivers working for French media outlets and their families."

The letter, which was posted on social media and the France 24 website, was signed by several associations affiliated with French media outlets, including BFMTV, Le Figaro, Libération, and Mediapart.

French journalists' associations, whose members are elected by their peers, address issues of work ethics and independence.

"Our colleagues and their families are in danger of death today after Benjamin Netanyahu's government announced its intention to take full control of the Gaza Strip," the letter read.

The letter recalled that since the outbreak of the Israeli war on October 7, 2023, "more than 200 of our colleagues in Gaza have been killed, according to figures from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights."

UN Secretary-General on Gaza: All aid authorized until now amounts to a teaspoon of aid when a flood of assistance is required

NEW YORK, May 23, 2025 (WAFA) –

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that for nearly 80 days, Israel blocked the entry of life-saving international aid into Gaza. “All the aid authorized until now amounts to a teaspoon of aid when a flood of assistance is required. The needs are massive, and the obstacles are staggering.”

Speaking to reporters today in New York, the UN chief said, “Palestinians in Gaza are enduring what may be the cruelest phase of this cruel conflict."

“As the world’s leading hunger assessment found, the entire population of Gaza is facing the risk of famine. Families are being starved and denied the very basics. All with the world watching in real time,” Guterres said.

He reiterated that Israel has clear obligations under international humanitarian law. “It must treat civilians humanely, with respect for their inherent dignity. It must not forcibly transport, deport or displace the civilian population of an occupied territory. And as the occupying power, it must agree to allow and facilitate the aid that is needed,” Guterres stressed.

In recent days, “a trickle of aid has crossed over,” the Secretary-General said, further explaining that almost 400 trucks were cleared for entry to Gaza through the Karm Abu salim crossing. But supplies from only 115 trucks have been able to be collected. And nothing has reached the besieged north.

“We are working around the clock to get whatever aid we can to people in need. And we managed to distribute some wheat flour, baby food, nutrition supplements and medicines. At long last, a few bakeries in south and central Gaza are operating,” Guterres added.

“But let us not forget that we are operating in the middle of a military operation," the UN chief noted.

Stressing that the needs are massive – and the obstacles are staggering for aid delivering, Guterres said, “Strict quotas are being imposed on the goods we distribute – along with unnecessary delay procedures. Other essentials – including fuel, shelter, cooking gas, and water purification supplies – are prohibited.”

“We continue to request for safety and security mitigation measures to be in place for our convoys. Our staff life is at risk if we continue to be prevented from distributing food parcels and wheat flower directly to people in desperate need,” the Secretary-General said.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military offensive is intensifying with “atrocious” levels of death and destruction, Guterres said.

Today, 80 per cent of Gaza has been either designated an Israeli-militarized zone or an area where people have been ordered to leave, the UN chief said, stressing that “four-fifths of the territory of Gaza is a no-go zone for the people of Gaza.”

Guterres said that beyond questions about the particular number of trucks at any particular moment, it is important to stay fixed on the big picture, - "without rapid, reliable, safe and sustained aid access, more people will die – and the long-term consequences on the entire population will be profound," he added.

The head of the world body highlighted that the United Nations has been clear: “We will not take part in any scheme that fails to respect international law and the humanitarian principles of humanity, impartiality, independence and neutrality.”

The Secretary-General further explained, “The United Nations and our partners have a detailed, principled, operationally-sound 5-stage plan – supported by Member States – to get aid to a desperate population. A mechanism to Ensure the delivery of aid to Gaza; inspect and scan aid at crossing points; transport aid from crossing points to humanitarian facilities; prepare aid for onward distribution; and transport aid to people in need.”

“We have the personnel, the distribution networks, the systems and community relationships in place to act. The supplies – 160,000 pallets, enough to fill nearly 9,000 trucks – are waiting,” he added.

The UN chief appealed for life-saving aid for the long-suffering people of Gaza: “Let’s do it right. And let’s do it right away,” he concluded.

UNRWA Commissioner-General: The aid entering Gaza now is a needle in a haystack

NEW YORK, May 23, 2025 (WAFA) –

The aid entering the Gaza Strip now is a needle in a haystack, UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said on Friday.

“No one should be surprised, let alone shocked, at scenes of precious aid looted, stolen or 'lost”. The people of Gaza have been starved and deprived of the basics, including water and medicines, for more than 11 weeks. Mothers and fathers have run out of food for their children. Older people died because of lack of medicines. The aid going in now is a needle in a haystack,” Lazzarini posted on X, at a time when Israel has been fully closing Gaza crossings since March 2.

He stressed that “a meaningful and uninterrupted flow of aid is the only way to prevent the current disaster from spiraling further.”

He pointed out that “the least needed is 500-600 trucks every day managed through the UN, including UNRWA.”

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
