While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Guterres demands probe into Israeli massacre of starving Palestinians at Gaza aid sites

Wednesday 18-June-2025

NEW YORK, (PIC)

UN Secretary-General António Guterres condemned what he called the “unacceptable” killing of Palestinians seeking food in Gaza by Israeli occupation forces (IOF), calling for an immediate and independent investigation into the attacks.

His remarks were delivered through Deputy Spokesperson Far'han 'Haq during a press briefing at the UN headquarters in Geneva, as reported by the UN News service.

According to Palestinian sources, IOF opened fire Wednesday on civilians near food aid distribution points in the southern city of Rafa'h and in Al-Nusayrat in central Gaza, killing at least 13 and wounding more than 120 others.

A day earlier, 51 Palestinians were martyred and over 200 injured—20 of them critically—at the Ta'hlia Roundabout in Khan Younus, where desperate civilians had gathered to access food aid said to be provided by the United States.

Haq quoted Guterres as saying, “The loss of life and injuries among civilians in Gaza, who are once again being fired upon while seeking food, is unacceptable.”

Guterres reiterated his call for an independent investigation and full accountability for what he described as attacks on civilians at food distribution centers. He also stressed the massive unmet needs of Palestinians in Gaza, calling for the immediate, large-scale, and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid.

He further urged that the United Nations and humanitarian organizations be granted safe and unhindered access to operate in Gaza in line with international humanitarian principles.

The Gaza Strip has been plunged into an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe since March 2, when the Israeli occupation imposed a complete blockade, shutting all crossings and cutting off access to food, medicine, fuel, and humanitarian aid.

Since then, Gaza has faced an intensifying campaign of genocide through systematic starvation, denial of medical care, and mass killings.

The IOF repeatedly attacked aid distribution sites in Rafa'h and central Gaza, reportedly killing hundreds.

United Nations officials have pointed to a pattern of deliberate displacement, describing it as part of a broader campaign of ethnic cleansing.

Since May 27, when the occupation army began targeting aid recipients near so-called “relief zones,” over 350 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 3,000 wounded.

Many of these attacks occurred near the “Gaza Humanitarian Relief Foundation”—an Israeli-American initiative widely condemned by international organizations—which has been accused of using aid as a pretext for surveillance and targeted killings.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza has claimed the lives of approximately 184,000 people either killed or wounded—most of them women and children—while over 11,000 remain missing.

Hunger and forced displacement continue to escalate as vast swathes of Gaza are reduced to rubble.

EU Foreign Policy chief describes Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide

BRUSSELS, June 18, 2025 (WAFA) –

The EU Foreign Policy chief Kaja Kallas on Wednesday described Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip as genocide.

“Israel's stated objective is to take control over the entire Gaza Strip,” the EU Foreign Policy Chief Kallas addressed a session of the European Parliament in  Strasbourg, while stressing the need to put pressure on Israel.

The European Parliament’s session was held under the title “Stopping the genocide in Gaza: time for EU sanctions,” at the initiative of the Left Group, comprising 46 representatives.

She added that “what we see in practice from Israel goes beyond self-defense,” while noting that “Blocking food and medicine for Palestinians trapped in Gaza doesn’t protect Israel,” and that “By-passing UN aid deliveries doesn’t help the people. It undermines decades of humanitarian principles.”

She pointed out that “90% of people living in the Strip have already been displaced. Those who remain are entirely dependent on aid which isn’t coming in,” as reiterating that the humanitarian situation in the war-battered enclave was still deteriorating.

Referring to Israel’s plan to seize complete control of the Gaza Strip, displace the entire population to a small area of land in the south and provide Palestinians with only enough food so they don't starve to death, as part of an expanded military operation ominously called "Gideon's Chariots", Kallas said that Israel has been using disproportionate force, continued targeting civilian infrastructure, resulting in an unacceptable death toll.

Commenting on Israel’s objective of displacing the Gaza population and annexing the Strip, Kallas affirmed that “Altering, reducing or annexing territory is a direct violation of international law. Should all or parts of Gaza’s civilian population be permanently forced from their homes, this too would be a violation of international law.”

Condemning the upsurge of colonists’ violence against defenseless Palestinian civilians and highlighting ongoing Israeli military aggression in the West Bank, movement restrictions, among other measures, Kallas said: “Intimidation campaigns, physical and verbal attacks, and the destruction and burning of property and homes are leading to the displacement of entire Palestinian communities.”

She urged Israel, the occupying state, to “face to face with its own extremists.”

“And what is happening in the West Bank threatens the formation of a Palestinian state and peace for the region in the long run,” she added.

Kallas urged the EU Member States to “put the pressure on Israel”, “do everything we can possibly do to alleviate suffering” of the Palestinian people, and recalled that the EU Member States have urged Israel to reverse its decisions to expand settler-colonialism in the West Bank, repeatedly condemned violence by colonists, and sanctioned nine colonists and five entities responsible for serious human rights abuses against Palestinians.

Renewing the call for putting pressure on Israel, she said: “Pressure must increase on the Israeli government. I will do this on my side as I have repeatedly done.”

She reiterated that the EU “remains firmly committed to a two-state solution” and that “the two-state solution is the right path and always will be. It is the only means for just and lasting peace for Israelis as well as the Palestinians.”

Hamas: Targeting civilians at aid centers is a US-backed war crime

Wednesday 18-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Hamas Movement has condemned the repeated targeting of civilians at food aid distribution centers in the Gaza Strip, calling it a war crime and part of a broader campaign of genocide that has persisted for nearly 20 months.

In a statement released Wednesday, Hamas described the deliberate killing of starving civilians near what it called “US-Israeli death traps” as a systematic crime committed under the cover of humanitarian aid. The Movement pointed to the killing of nearly 150 Palestinians in the past 24 hours, many of them targeted while attempting to access aid in Khan Yunis and other areas.

“These massacres are not accidental. The Israeli occupation, with direct US support, is orchestrating a systematic campaign of violence and forced displacement, deliberately targeting wounded individuals, demolishing homes, and shrinking so-called ‘safe zones,’” the statement read.

Hamas called on Arab and Islamic nations, along with the United Nations and its institutions, to break their silence and take urgent action to halt the genocide. It also urged the international community to recognize UN agencies as the only legitimate and secure channels for humanitarian aid—free from Israeli control and manipulation.

The Movement emphasized that the current mechanism of distributing aid under occupation oversight has become part of a broader policy of starvation and subjugation.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported Wednesday that 144 Palestinians were martyred and 560 wounded in the last 24 hours. The total death toll since Israel’s war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, has now reached 55,637, with 129,880 wounded. Since May 18, 2025 alone, 5,334 people have been martyred and 17,839 injured.

Disruption of landline and internet services continues for second day in central and southern Gaza

RAMALLAH, June 18, 2025 (WAFA) –

Disruptions to landline and internet services persist across central and southern Gaza for a second consecutive day.

The Palestinian Telecommunications Regulatory Authority stated that the outage was caused by new damage to one of the main network routes, resulting from the ongoing Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip.

Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, telecommunications and internet services have been disrupted multiple times across the Strip or in wide areas due to intensive Israeli bombardment or fuel shortages needed to operate power generators.

Gaza death toll rise to 55,637 as Israel continue the genocide

GAZA, June 18, 2025 (WAFA) -

Medical sources said on Wednesday that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 55,637, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli occupation's aggression on October 7, 2023.

The same sources added that the death toll has risen to 129,880 since the start of the aggression, while a number of victims remain under the rubble, unable to be reached by ambulance and civil defense crews.

They indicated that 144 slain people and 560 injuries were taken to hospitals in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours. The death toll and injuries since March 18, when the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement, has reached 5,334 and 17,839 injuries.

They noted that a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, and ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.

Medical sources confirmed that the occupation has once again prevented international and UN organizations from accessing fuel storage sites designated for hospitals, claiming they are located in red zones.

They stressed that obstructing the flow of fuel supplies to hospitals threatens to shut them down, as they rely on generators to power vital departments. They noted that the available fuel supplies in hospitals are sufficient for only three days.

Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), (PIC)

A Palestinian young man was martyred on Wednesday morning when the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) opened fire at him in Al-Wallaja town, west of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem) in the West Bank.

According to the Palestinian health ministry, 21-year-old Mo'taz Al-'Hajajila was shot dead, with no known reason, by IOFs gunfire in the town.

The IOFs reportedly seized the body of Al-'Hajajila and refused to hand it over to a Palestinian ambulance crew.

Earlier, local sources said that Israeli soldiers assaulted Al-'Hajajila and shot him at close range shortly after kidnaping him from his home in Al-Wallaja town.

The IOFs justified its killing of the young man by falsely claiming he tried to stab one of the soldiers and snatch his gun.

Three Palestinians injured, others kidnapped in Israeli attacks in the West Bank

Wednesday 18-June-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Three Palestinians were injured and others were kidnapped in Israeli occupation forces' and settler attacks in different areas of the occupied West Bank last night and on Wednesday morning.

According to the Palestinian health ministry, a citizen identified as 43-year-old 'Isam Rabayi’a suffered serious bullet injuries after Israeli occupation forces opened fire at him near Faqqu’ah town in Jenin.

Rabayi’a was reportedly trying to reach his workplace in 1948 occupied Palestine through the separation wall near Faqqu’a town.

The Red Crescent also said its paramedics transported a wounded young man in his 40s to the hospital after Israeli soldiers severely beat him in an area of the northern West Bank.

In Nablus, the IOFs stormed the new 'Askar refugee camp, for the second consecutive day, and took over the headquarters of the camp’s Popular Services Committee and other community centers.

Eyewitnesses said the IOFs hoisted Israeli flags over the buildings they seized in the camp.

In Jenin City, the IOFs kidnaped a citizen and continued to carry out its large-scale demolition campaign.

The Israeli occupation forces also stormed Burqeen town in western Jenin, spread in its streets, raided homes, and interrogated local young men, amid sounds of gunfire.

In Salfit, the IOF set up a road barrier on the main road between Kifl 'Haris town and Hares village, obstructing the movement of local residents.

In the central West Bank, the Israeli occupation army took over a house in the north of Ramallah City and turned it into a military post. Its forces also stormed Rantees village, northwest of the city.

In Bethlehem, the IOFs kidnapped a 49-year-old woman from her home in 'Husan village a few hours after releasing her.

The IOF also kidnapped nine citizens from al-Khalil City and Al-Dthahiriya town, amid intensive presence of Israeli forces in their streets.

In other incidents, a horde of the illegal Israeli settlers attacked a citizen called 'Omran Al-Nawaj'a, a resident of Susya village in southern Al-Khaleel (Hebron), and injured him in his head. He was transferred to the Yatta Hospital for medical assistance.

In Ramallah, another group of the illegal Israeli settlers escorted by Israeli occupation soldiers reportedly opened fire at Palestinian citizens, but luckily no one was hurt.

IOFs kidnap dozens of Palestinians in West Bank raids

Wednesday 18-June-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped at least 40 Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank at dawn Wednesday.

According to local sources, the IOFs kidnapped 14 citizens after raiding homes in Salfeet Province.

Ten other citizens were taken prisoners during an IOFs raid in Qalqilya City.

The IOFs also kidnapped 16 citizens, including seven children and an elderly man, following raids in Al-'Arroub refugee camp, Kharsa village, and towns of Bait Ka'hil, Yatta, and Bait Ummar, in Al-Khaleel Province. Among the detainees are high school students.

The IOFs reportedly deployed road barriers at the entrances of Al-Khaleel City and several towns around it, which obstructed the movement of Palestinian citizens and vehicles.

For nearly six days, the Israeli occupation army has been imposing a full-scale closure on the West Bank, blocking most of its roads and restricting the movement of local residents.

Israeli forces kidnap two Palestinians from a northern West Bank town

Jineen, June 18, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday evening kidnapped two Palestinians from Maythaloun town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Jineen, according to local sources.

They said that the occupying forces showed up at two houses in the town, broke inside, wreaked havoc inside, and rounded up two residents.

In the dawn hours of today, Israeli infantry forces ransacked several houses, interrogated their occupants, took over another house, and turned it into a military outpost.

Meanwhile, a large convoy of army vehicles barged their way into Al-Khaleel (Hebron) City, where the soldiers sealed off several roads, obstructing the free movement of Palestinians, at a time when the soldiers physically assaulted several Palestinians.

The soldiers stormed several neighborhoods, including 'Haram Al-Rama, the vicinity of the Traffic Department, Al-Jami‘a, and Abu Al-Da‘jan, and ransacked houses there, tampering with their contents.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

Israel transfers Palestinian child to administrative detention for four months

RAMALLAH, June 18, 2025 (WAFA) -

The occupation intelligence service issued an administrative detention order against Hanaa Haitham Isma'eel 'Hammad, 17, from Hebron, four a period of four months. This brings the number of female prisoners held under administrative detention to 10, out of 41 in Israeli prisons.

The Commission of Detainees' Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) added that 'Hammad was detained on June 9, after occupation forces raided her home in Al-'Arroub refugee camp.

During her detention, 'Hanaa and her mother, who was detained with her during her detention and later released, were subjected to field interrogations and abuse.

The Commission and the PPS said in a joint statement that "we have witnessed an unprecedented escalation since the beginning of the genocide in the number of administrative detainees, including women and children, as the number of administrative detainees until the beginning of June 2025 reached 3562 administrative detainees, including at least 95 children under the age of 18."

It's worth noting that the policy of administrative detention has undergone numerous transformations over the past few years.

Despite the escalating level of resistance to this crime through hunger strikes and boycotts of courts, the occupation has devised new tools that have contributed to its entrenchment.

It's worth noting that eight administrative detainees have died in Israeli prisons since the beginning of the war of genocide. They are among the 72 who have been killed since the genocide in Israeli prisons.

Israel tightens control over Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), sealing off city and tightening grip on Al-Aqsa Mosques

Wednesday 18-June-2025

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governorate has warned that Israeli occupation authorities are accelerating measures to isolate the occupied city of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) from its Palestinian surroundings, intensifying military checkpoints, settlement activity, and restricting access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In a statement on Wednesday, the governorate said new iron gates were installed at key entrances to towns such as 'Anata, Jaba', and 'Hizma, as part of a broader plan to dismember the city and control Palestinian movement. These developments coincide with the ongoing war on Gaza and rising regional tensions, which the Israeli government is exploiting to push forward annexation plans and expand settler presence.

The governorate reported unprecedented restrictions at main military checkpoints—including Qalandya, Shu'fat, Jaba', and Al-Kontainer—where Palestinians face daily closures, delays of up to six hours, and routine mistreatment. One striking example was the deputy governor being forced to walk to his office in Al-Ram due to the complete closure of the Jaba' checkpoint.

Israeli forces have also increased mobile checkpoints and launched aggressive raids and arrest campaigns in neighborhoods such as Silwan, Al-'Eisawiya, and Jabal al-Mukabbir. The city is now encircled by 85 checkpoints, fixed barriers, and the apartheid wall, turning it into what the governorate described as “a closed prison.”

The report stressed that these measures are part of a long-term policy to seize full control over the city, including its Islamic and Christian holy sites, while the international community remains distracted. It called on media outlets and activists to intensify coverage and expose the occupation’s efforts to silence Jerusalem’s voice.

Illegal Israeli settlers block a road, south of Nablus, with earth mounds

NABLUS, June 18, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli setlers on Wednesday blocked a road north of the village of Duma south of Nablus with earth mounds, according to a local official.

Sulayman Dawabsha, head of the Duma Village Council, told WAFA that a bulldozer belonging to the colonists, under the protection of Israeli soldiers, sealed off the road connecting Duma to the nearby village of Majdal Bani Fadhil.

The road had been closed for years before local residents recently reopened it, following the installation of a new gate at the village entrance. However, colonists have now re-blocked the road, pushing the closure closer to residential areas. This poses a danger to residents and restricts farmers’ access to their land.

The village of Duma is subjected to frequent, near-daily attacks by colonists targeting residents and their property.

Illegal Israeli settlers storm al-Auja community north of Aree'ha (Jericho)

Aree'ha (Jericho), June 18, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli setlers stormed the Al-'Auja Spring area north of Jericho on Wednesday evening, in yet another attack targeting Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley.

'Hasan Mulai'hat, an official with Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, told WAFA that colonists raided the area and grazed their sheep on Bedouin fodder supplies, as part of ongoing violations targeting Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley.

He noted that these actions take place under the protection of Israeli forces and are intended to pressure residents and push them toward forced displacement.

He emphasized that these ongoing assaults exacerbate the suffering of residents and undermine any prospects for stability in the area, calling for efforts to strengthen the steadfastness of Bedouin communities and uphold their right to remain on their land in the face of expulsion and repression policies.

Illegal Israeli settlers storm a Bedouin community near Aree'ha (Jericho), photograph residents’ homes

Aree'ha (Jericho), June 18, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of Israeli colonists stormed the 'Arab Al-Mulai'hat Bedouin community northwest of Jericho, roaming through the community while photographing residents’ homes, sheep pens and grazing areas.

'Hasan Mulai'hat, an official with Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, told WAFA that colonists monitored and documented the locations of residents’ homes and animal pens in the area.

He slammed this intrusion as part of a systematic policy aimed at intimidating Bedouin residents and forcibly displacing them from their lands.

The 'Arab Al-Mulai'hat area, similar to other Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley, regularly experiences incursions and other violations by colonists and Israeli forces, as part of broader efforts aimed at displacing the indigenous population.

Israeli occupation forces continue demolition of homes in Jineen Refugee Camp

Jineen, June 18, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces continued their demolition campaign in Jineen refugee camp on Wednesday, targeting more Palestinian homes.

According to WAFA correspondent, Israeli bulldozers demolished houses in the Al-Damaj neighborhood and the eastern part of the camp. Video footage showed bulldozers razing multiple homes in Al-Damaj, with some buildings collapsing entirely.

Yesterday, Israeli forces demolished homes in the central part of the camp, specifically in the Al-Sumran neighborhood. These actions are part of a demolition plan announced by Israeli authorities last week, which includes the destruction of 95 homes in the camp. This plan follows a previous wave of demolitions in March, during which 66 buildings were destroyed.

Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), June 18, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday evening reclosed the entrance to the village of Al Manshiya, southeast of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), according to an official source.

Head of the Al Manshiya village council, Khadr Abu Diyeh, told WAFA that Israeli forces shut the village’s entrance with an iron gate just one day after briefly reopening it.

He pointed out that this gate is the sole access road between the southern rural area and Bait La'hm (Bethlehem).

Israeli occupation forces close two entrances near Bait La'hm (Bethlehem)

Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), June 18, 2025 (WAFA) -

Israeli occupation forces closed two entrances to the town of Tuqu'a, southeast of Bethlehem, on Wednesday.

Tuqu'a Municipality Director Tayseer Abu Mufri'h told WAFA correspondent that the occupation forces installed an iron gate at the entrance to Khirbet Al-Dair, which leads to the town of Jannata. They also placed earth mounds at the entrance to the Sha'b Al-Sane' area inside the town, almost completely disrupting the movement of residents.

Abu Mufri'h noted that a colonist blocked the entrance to Tuqu'a-Jannata yesterday with cement blocks, while the occupation forces reinforced the closure by placing large boulders in the area.

He added that since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, the occupation has installed approximately 10 iron gates at the entrances to the town and its neighborhoods, in a move aimed at tightening the siege imposed on residents and restricting their daily movement, whether towards Bethlehem or the neighboring villages.

The number of barriers and iron gates installed by the occupation army in the West Bank reached 898 military barriers and iron gates, including 18 iron gates installed by the occupation since the beginning of the current year 2025, and 146 iron gates installed by the occupation after October 7, 2023, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.

Israeli occupation forces install new gate at entrance to town northeast of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), June 18, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces installed a new iron gate on Wednesday at the main entrance to the town of Anata, northeast of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

According to the WAFA correspondent, the gate was installed at the town’s main entrance, effectively closing the checkpoint in both directions, as part of a policy aimed at restricting the movement and freedom of Palestinian residents.

This new gate adds to another that was erected years ago at the southern entrance to the town.

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governorate expressed in a statement deep concern over the escalating Israeli measures on the ground, which it says are designed to suffocate the city of Jerusalem and isolate it completely from its Palestinian surroundings. These actions include the installation of new iron gates, the intensification of military checkpoints, and the acceleration of colonial expansion and annexation plans.

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) governorate explained that these developments come in tandem with Israel’s exploitation of the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip and the escalation with Iran. During this period, the Israeli government is seeking to push forward its annexation plans, expand the boundaries of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) municipality, increase the number of colonists, and construct new colonial settlements in the area, all while the world remains distracted from what is happening in the occupied city.

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) is now surrounded by 85 barriers, including earth mounds, fixed and mobile iron gates, and the expansive separation wall, effectively turning the city into a closed prison where apartheid is forcibly enforced.

The statement affirmed that these measures are part of a comprehensive plan for full control over the city, including its Islamic and Christian holy sites, as part of an undeclared annexation project being implemented while the international community remains preoccupied with other matters, diverting attention away from the Palestinian capital.

The statement emphasized that the international community’s silence effectively grants the occupation the green light to advance its colonial and Judaization schemes. It stressed that media and popular solidarity with Jerusalem is urgently needed to confront these existential dangers.

UNRWA: Gaza’s health system is collapsing as Israel blocks medicine and blood supplies

Wednesday 18-June-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has issued an urgent warning that Gaza’s health system is on the brink of collapse as basic medical supplies and blood products run critically low amid Israel’s ongoing genocidal war on the besieged enclave.

In a statement posted Wednesday on its official X account, UNRWA reported that 45% of essential medical supplies have already been depleted. Of what remains, a quarter is expected to run out within six weeks. The agency warned that stocks of vital medications and blood units “are running out at a time when health needs are increasing urgently day by day.”

This warning comes as Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continue their systematic targeting of Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure, including direct strikes on hospitals that have forced most out of service.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, only 16 hospitals remain even partially operational—five of them public, 11 private—out of a total of 38 in the Strip. Additionally, eight emergency field hospitals are currently active, barely keeping up with the surge in critical cases.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel—with unwavering US support—has waged a campaign of genocide in Gaza, killing and wounding more than 185,000 Palestinians, the majority of them women and children. The Israeli genocide has included the deliberate targeting of healthcare facilities, patients, and medical staff, exacerbating an already dire humanitarian crisis.

World Health Organization spokesperson Margaret Harris previously described Gaza’s medical situation as “catastrophic.” In a statement last May, she warned, “We are very close to the brink,” noting that the blockade is compounding the public health emergency.

The humanitarian catastrophe deepened on March 2, when the Israeli occupation army enforced a total siege on Gaza, sealing all border crossings and blocking the entry of food, medicine, fuel, and humanitarian aid. Although Israeli authorities announced a limited resumption of aid on May 19, it came under strict Israeli conditions and excluded both UNRWA and the broader UN system.

UNRWA has repeatedly called for the restoration of the safe and effective UN-led humanitarian distribution system. The UN agency, which has long been the backbone of aid delivery in Gaza, has faced ongoing Israeli pressure and defunding campaigns, including its exclusion from recent aid coordination mechanisms.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres echoed the urgency of the situation on Wednesday, condemning the continued killing of Palestinians seeking food and calling for an independent investigation into the attacks on aid seekers and humanitarian infrastructure.

With Gaza’s health sector under siege and vital resources running out, international humanitarian organizations continue to sound the alarm, warning that without immediate intervention, the Strip faces a full-scale medical collapse.

Maghrib solidarity convoy returns to Tunisia after release of detainees

Wednesday 18-June-2025

TUNIS, (PIC)

The “Sumoud” Convoy, which means “steadfastness” in Arabic, a Maghrib solidarity convoy aiming to break the Israeli-imposed siege on Gaza, announced on Wednesday that it has returned to Tunisia after the release of its last detained member by the eastern Libyan authorities.

Nabeel Al-Shunoufi, the convoy’s spokesperson, told Anadolu Agency via phone that the group had departed from the Libyan city of Zulaitin and was now en route back to Tunisia. “The last of those arrested was released this morning by authorities in eastern Libya,” he said.

Earlier this week, the convoy had declared it would not leave Libya until all detained participants were released. Three Libyan activists had been held by the government affiliated with the eastern-based House of Representatives. Their release early Wednesday was confirmed by Al-Shunoufi, who noted that the convoy’s exit from Libya was “conditional on the return of all those detained,” a message conveyed to all mediators involved.

The convoy had previously been halted by Libyan security forces at the entrance to Sirt on Thursday evening, awaiting a decision from officials in Benghazi. In response, the group returned to Misrata—deemed a safe point—to demand the release of the detained members.

Libya’s eastern Interior Ministry claimed it detained several convoy members due to a lack of valid travel documents or identification papers.

The convoy, which consisted of more than 1,500 activists from across North Africa, had entered Libya from Tunisia with the goal of reaching Egypt via Al-Salloum border crossing, then proceeding to the Rafa'h crossing into Gaza. Their aim was to demonstrate against the ongoing blockade and genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

However, the eastern Libyan government refused the convoy’s passage through the Masad border crossing, effectively cutting off the group’s planned route.

Libya remains divided between two rival governments: the UN-recognized Government of National Unity, based in Tripoli, and a parallel administration backed by the House of Representatives in Benghazi.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel—with unwavering US support—has continued a genocidal campaign in Gaza, killing or wounding more than 185,000 Palestinians, leaving over 11,000 missing, and displacing hundreds of thousands. The genocidal war has also triggered a severe famine, claiming countless lives, including those of children.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
