Qatari PM: Israeli violations embarrass mediators, threaten ceasefire agreement

Wednesday 17-December-2025

DOHA, (PIC)

Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Shaikh Mu'hammed Bin 'Abdul Ra'hman bin Jasim Al-Thani, said that Israel's continued violations of the ceasefire agreement are placing mediators in difficult positions and jeopardizing efforts to maintain calm.

In a press statement, the Qatari official said Doha has repeatedly raised concerns about the ongoing Israeli bombing and targeted assassinations in Gaza, warning of their dangerous implications for regional stability.

He emphasized the urgent need to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza unconditionally, rejecting any security arrangements that provide protection to one party at the expense of another, including the so-called “stability force.”

Sheikh Mohammed had previously warned that the repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire could lead to the resumption of war in Gaza. He stressed that the residents of Gaza do not want to leave their land and must not be forced to do so.

He added that Qatar consistently advocates for resolving conflicts through diplomatic means, asserting that the international community cannot remain hostage to the agenda of a far-right movement seeking the eradication of the Palestinian people.

According to figures released by Hamas, Israel has committed more than 813 violations of the ceasefire agreement since it took effect, averaging nearly 25 breaches per day. The Movement warned that this dangerous escalation threatens the continuity of the agreement and undermines truce efforts.

Government data shows these violations have resulted in the killing of 393 Palestinian civilians and the injury of 1,074 others.

'Hamad: Israeli violations threaten ceasefire, aim to create new security reality in Gaza

Tuesday 16-December-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Dr. Ghazi 'Hamad, a senior official in the Hamas Movement and a member of the negotiation delegation, confirmed that the Israeli occupation has committed widespread, deliberate violations of the ceasefire agreement. He emphasized that these violations aim to impose a new security reality in Gaza, one rooted in violence and terror.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Hamad reminded that the agreement was signed on October 9, 2025, in the presence of Egyptian, Qatari, Turkish, and American mediators, who are now obligated to step in and prevent its collapse.

He noted that 66 days have passed since the agreement came into effect and stressed that its terms are “clear and explicit,” leaving no room for misinterpretation. Yet, Israel has manipulated and violated nearly every clause of the deal.

'Hamad affirmed that Hamas has strictly adhered to all terms of the agreement from day one. Mediators monitoring the situation in Gaza can attest that Hamas has not committed a single violation during the ceasefire.

In contrast, 'Hamad accused the Israeli government and military of repeated, calculated breaches, ranging from field executions, shootings, and assassinations to bombing civilian areas. These are not isolated incidents but appear to be authorized actions.

He pointed out that Israeli forces have also crossed the “yellow line” buffer zone significantly, violated terms regarding humanitarian aid, shut down the Rafah crossing, and blocked the entry of essential equipment, further worsening Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.

According to Hamad, more than 813 violations have been recorded since the agreement began, averaging 25 per day. Detailed reports of these breaches have been submitted daily to the mediators and the joint monitoring chamber.

Hamad revealed that around 400 people have been killed since the ceasefire started, over 95% of them civilians, mostly women and children. Whole families were wiped out, and Hamas has shared their names and ages with mediators to confirm their civilian status.

Only a small percentage were resistance fighters, who, Hamad argues, should not be targeted under a ceasefire.

Hamad warned that Israeli forces frequently exceeded the buffer zones agreed upon (“yellow line”), creating “kill zones” in northern, central, and southern Gaza.

He also noted the placement of concrete blocks in violation of the agreement and confirmed that civilians were shot within these expanded zones.

Hamad said Israel is turning civilian neighborhoods into barren land. Since the ceasefire began, 145 homes were demolished, 392 airstrikes occurred, 229 shooting incidents, 46 armored incursions.

Despite Hamas delivering captives and bodies as per the agreement, Israel continues to close the Rafah crossing, prevent medical evacuations, and block reconstruction supplies, paralyzing life in Gaza.

Hamad accused Israel of weaponizing humanitarian aid by labeling essential items as “dual use,” including medical supplies, food, and tents.

Thousands of tons of aid remain stuck in the Egyptian city of Arish and at the Egyptian border, deepening the humanitarian crisis.

Israel also refuses to share information about missing persons, whether martyrs or detainees. Families still don’t know whether their loved ones are alive or dead, which constitutes a major violation of the agreement.

Hamad concluded that Israel’s deliberate, large-scale violations aim to sabotage the ceasefire and impose a lawless reality on Gaza. He urged Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, and the US to act swiftly to prevent the agreement from collapsing.

He held Israel fully responsible for undermining the deal, noting that despite the clear terms and commitments, Israel continues its violations day and night.

Thawabt: 53,000 tents damaged, the low-pressure system exposed the fragility of living conditions

Wednesday 17-December-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Ismail Al-Thawabteh, Director General of the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip, said that the low-pressure weather system exposed the fragility of the living conditions imposed on Palestinians, particularly displaced people living in dilapidated tents and primitive shelters as a result of the Israeli genocide.

In press statements on Wednesday, Thawabteh added that the coincidence of the low-pressure system with the widespread destruction of infrastructure, unprecedented forced displacement, and the absence of even the most basic means of protection has turned weather conditions into a direct threat to civilians’ lives.

He stressed that the low-pressure system revealed the vulnerability of the living reality imposed on the population, especially the displaced, who live in worn-out tents and rudimentary shelters that lack the minimum humanitarian safety standards, amid the continued closure of crossings and the prevention of the entry of shelter and emergency materials.

A low-pressure system has been affecting Gaza since Monday evening, the second in less than a week, amid a severe deterioration in humanitarian conditions as thousands of homes and tents have been damaged.

The impact of the first low-pressure system, which hit the Strip at dawn on December 10 and was named “Byron,” lasted three days and resulted in the deaths of 14 Palestinians, while 53,000 tents were fully or partially damaged or flooded, causing losses estimated at about $4 million, according to official data.

Thawabteh emphasized that the repercussions of the two low-pressure systems were most severe for the displaced, whose number exceeds 1.5 million, and who are living in conditions resembling a renewed Nakba, with no real solutions, no protection, and no clear humanitarian horizon.

He explained that displacement areas turned into muddy pools, tents were flooded along with their contents of bedding, blankets, and food. Moreover, medical points were damaged, and fragile sources of income were lost for thousands of families, he elaborated.

He affirmed that what has occurred and continues to occur during the winter season proves that “every coming low-pressure system is likely to turn into a new tragedy,” given the ongoing prevention of the entry of about 300,000 tents, mobile homes, caravans, and relief and emergency supplies.

Journalist reveals harrowing details of rape in the Israeli occupation apartheid regime prisons

Monday 15-December-2025

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

A Palestinian journalist who was formerly detained in the Israeli occupation apartheid regime prisons has revealed harrowing details of being raped by a group of Israeli prison guards during his detention.

The testimony was given by journalist Sami Al‑Sa’i, who spoke about his ordeal during an event held at the MADA Center for Media Freedoms in Ramallah, in the central West Bank. Al‑Sa’i was held under administrative detention from February 2024 until June 2025.

Al‑Sa’i stated that he was raped in Megiddo Prison in the northern occupied territory, where a group of guards assaulted him with a baton after subjecting him to severe beatings while he was handcuffed and blindfolded.

The journalist, who is from the northern West Bank city of Toulkarm, said the guards dragged him while beating and threatening him, forced him into a corner of the prison, stripped him of his clothes, and compelled him to kneel in a prostration position. He then felt a hard object forcibly inserted into his body, causing what he described as unbearable pain.

He added that the assault included violent blows to sensitive parts of his body, while one guard stood on his head and neck.

In his testimony, Al‑Sa’i described the conditions faced by Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons as “catastrophic,” citing systematic beatings, starvation, threats, and medical neglect.

According to Palestinian prisoners’ rights organizations, since the start of the war on Gaza, dozens of testimonies have been documented describing an escalation in torture practices, from the moment of arrest, through interrogation, and throughout imprisonment.

The rights groups have previously said that torture is no longer limited to interrogation for the purpose of extracting confessions. Instead, Israeli authorities have developed methods and tools that entrench torture into the daily lives of detainees, a trend that has intensified unprecedentedly since the start of the war.

Abuses against Palestinian prisoners have escalated in parallel with the genocide waged on Gaza with US support over the past two years.

More than 9,300 Palestinian prisoners, including children and women, are currently held in Israeli prisons, where they are subjected to torture, starvation, and medical neglect, conditions that have led to the deaths of multiple detainees, according to human rights organizations.

Baby boy dies from cold in southern Gaza

Tuesday 16-December-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

A two-week-old baby boy died in the Gaza Strip yesterday as a result of prolonged exposure to low temperatures.

Gaza’s health ministry said on Tuesday that two-week-old Mohamed Abul-Khair died from hypothermia.

The infant was admitted to hospital two days ago and died yesterday, according to the ministry.

Earlier, the director general of the ministry of health, Munir al-Bursh, warned that children, elderly people, and patients risk dying due to the drop in temperatures inside rain-soaked tents sheltering displaced families.

Bursh said the humidity and rainwater inside tents create an environment conducive to the spread of respiratory diseases among the displaced, while patients are unable to obtain any medical care.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian has been killed and several others sustained injuries after part of a residential building collapsed in Gaza City amid heavy rainfall, according to Gaza’s civil defense service.

Civil defense teams said they recovered the body of a Palestinian from the rubble of a house that partially collapsed in the Shati refugee camp. Several wounded people were also rescued from the scene.

Eyewitnesses told Anadolu News that thousands of tents sheltering displaced people were flooded or blown away by strong winds that have battered Gaza since Monday evening, worsening conditions for families already living in precarious circumstances.

Gaza’s infrastructure has been severely weakened after months of Israeli attacks, leaving many buildings vulnerable to collapse during extreme weather.

Several civilians injured, two critically, in Israeli strike in Gaza City

Wednesday 17-December-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

A number of citizens were injured, two of them critically, following an Israeli drone strike in central Gaza City on Wednesday evening.

Palestinian media sources reported that an Israeli drone targeted a group of civilians and a private vehicle at El-Samir junction in the central area of Gaza City, injuring at least 11 of them.

Medical sources said that two of the wounded suffered critical injuries in the attack.

Earlier, the Hamas Movement said that the number of violations committed by the occupation in the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire agreement came into force on October 10, 2025, has exceeded 813, an average of nearly 25 violations per day.

The Movement described the situation as “very dangerous,” warning that Israel’s persistent violations risk torpedoing the agreement.

The Israeli occupation army continues to carry out attacks and demolitions in Gaza

Wednesday 17-December-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation army carried out different attacks and demolished homes in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, amid ongoing ceasefire violations.

Palestinian media sources reported that Israeli forces carried out artillery strikes on the northern outskirts of Gaza.

Israeli armored vehicles opened machinegun fire in the southeast of Khan Yunis and in the north of Rafah, south of Gaza.

Meanwhile, shooting and artillery attacks were reported in other areas of Gaza, including in Gaza City and Jabalia in northern Gaza.

The Israeli army also detonated more buildings and homes in the eastern areas of Gaza.

Since the ceasefire agreement took effect last October, the Israeli occupation army has committed daily violations, including attacks that killed and injured hundreds of civilians.

In another context, the Hamas Movement has warned that the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are facing an escalating humanitarian catastrophe in the midst of harsh weather conditions and massive destruction.

“Tents and shelters have been completely flooded, amid the absence of heating means and falling temperatures,” Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem said on Tuesday.

Spokesman Qasem pointed out that the Israeli occupation allowed into the Gaza Strip less than 10 percent of the agreed-upon fuel supplies, adding that the limited shelter supplies that entered Gaza are also grossly insufficient.

“Tents are not designed to withstand the current weather conditions and become flooded after every storm, raising fears that any new rainstorm could lead to further casualties,” the spokesman warned.

Illegal Israeli settler kills Palestinian teen, injures another in eastern Bait La'hm (Bethlehem)

Tuesday 16-December-2025

Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), (PIC)

A Palestinian teenager was martyred and another one was injured on Tuesday when an armed illegal Israeli settler opened fire at them in Teqoa town, east of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem) in the occupied West Bank.

Local sources identified the martyr as 16‑year‑old Muheeb Jibreel, saying he was fatally shot in the head.

“This execution-style killing took place following the funeral of another slain child, 16‑year‑old 'Ammar Sabah. As mourners dispersed, a number of youths remained near the northern entrance of the town when a settler suddenly stepped out of his vehicle and opened fire directly at them, killing Jibril and seriously wounding another one,” Teqoa mayor Mohamed al-Badan explained.

Badan noted that Jibril was the second teenager killed in Teqoa within less than 24 hours, amid escalating attacks by Israeli forces and settlers against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank.

He called on the international community to urgently intervene to provide protection for the Palestinian people and put an end to the ongoing killing of civilians.

A Palestinian child was killed on Monday evening after succumbing to critical wounds he sustained during clashes that erupted following an Israeli military incursion into the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem) in the occupied West Bank.

Local sources reported that a Palestinian was seriously wounded during the violent confrontations that erupted in the town after Israeli forces stormed the area amid heavy live fire.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced that a child was killed after being shot with live ammunition during clashes with Israeli forces that followed the raid on Tuqu’. Local sources identified the victim as 'Ammar Yasir Saba'h.

In the same context, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a press statement that the child 'Ammar Yasir Mu'hammed Ta’amra, 16, died after being shot in the chest by Israeli forces during their incursion into the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem).

Separately, an elderly Palestinian man was injured on Monday evening after being assaulted by Israeli settlers south of al-Khalil in the southern occupied West Bank. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that its medical teams treated an elderly Palestinian who was beaten by settlers in the Masafer Yatta area, south of al-Khalil. The Red Crescent added that the injured man was transferred to hospital to continue receiving treatment.

Additionally, a group of settlers raided the area of Khallat El-Fari’a, west of the town of Yatta in the southern al-Khalil governorate, earlier on Monday afternoon. The settlers reportedly filmed homes that had been demolished days earlier, as well as nearby houses.

The Israeli occupation forces have intensified their assaults across the West Bank since the start of the war on Gaza. These actions have so far resulted in the killing of approximately 1,093 Palestinians, the injury of more than 10,000 others, and the arrest of over 20,000 people, including 1,600 children.

IOFy carry out kidnappings, seize vast tracts of Palestinian land in the West Bank

Wednesday 17-December-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) carried out raids and kidnappings in different West Bank areas last night and at dawn Wednesday.

Local sources reported that Israeli special forces stormed the eastern neighborhood of Jenin before military reinforcements joined them and help them raid a house in the neighborhood to use it as an interrogation center.

The IOFs also raided other homes in the neighborhood and detained and interrogated several citizens.

Two other citizens were taken prisoner during IOFs raids in Azzun town, east of Qalqilya, and al-Jalazone refugee camp, east of Ramallah.

In Bethlehem, Israeli forces raided several homes in the city and kidnaped a father and his son.

The IOFs also carried out raids on homes and arrests in other areas of the West Bank.

In another context, the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reported on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation army confiscated 531 dunums of Palestinian land in the Jenin governorate through two military orders dubbed as “land seizure orders,” citing alleged security and military needs.

According to the Commission, the first order targets 513 dunums belonging to the villages of Jaba, Fandaqumiya, Silat ad-Daher, al‑Attara, and Burqa. It aims to construct a fenced road linking evacuated colonial sites such as Sanur and Homesh.

The second order is intended to seize 17.321 dunums from the villages of Ya’bad and Arraba, extending between the villages of Imreiha and Jabel al‑Oqda, west of the illegal settlement of Mevo Dotan. The military order states an intent to build a security road in the area.

The Israeli army also issued an order to strip 124 dunums of land in Ya’bad town of its tree cover under the pretext of “taking security measures.”

Since the beginning of 2025, the Israeli occupation authority has escalated the issuance of land seizure orders under the guise of military and security purposes.

To date, 91 orders have resulted in the annexation of 2,549 dunums of Palestinian land. These measures, according to the Commission, are designed to impose new faits accomplis on the ground, particularly around settler roads, walls, and buffer zones surrounding illegal settlements and outposts.

In 'Awarta, south of Nablus, Israeli forces launched a raid to secure the entry of settlers performing religious rituals at local shrines. The Israeli forces also stormed homes in the town, and buses of settlers entered under military protection.

Israeli troops also raided Attil, north of Toulkarm, and distributed threats during a separate incursion into Aqqaba, north of Toubas. Flares were fired during a raid on Qalandiya refugee camp, north of El-Quds (ccupied Jerusalem).

Elsewhere, Israeli occupation forces stormed Fahma and Kafr Rai, south of Jenin, and arrested former prisoner Jihad Jarrar after raiding his home in al-Hashimiyah, west of Jenin.

Three civilians were kidnapped in al-Khalil after being assaulted by soldiers. Local sources reported the arrest of a local resident in Al-Arroub camp, along with the confiscation of his car. El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

Dozens of the illegal Israeli settlers desecrated El-Aqsa Mosque in El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) on Wednesday morning and later in the afternoon, on the third day of the Hanukkah holiday, under tight protection from Israeli police forces.

According to Jerusalemite sources, at least 251 Jewish settlers entered the Mosque through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards under police guard.

During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them provocatively performed Talmudic prayers, especially in the eastern area of the Mosque and at the staircase leading to the plateau of the Dome of the Rock building.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police imposed movement and entry restrictions on Muslim worshipers at the Aqsa Mosque’s entrances and gates and prevented many of them from entering the holy site.

Illegal Israeli settlers torch Palestinian cars in a West Bank village

Wednesday 17-December-2025

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

A horde of the illegal Israeli settlers set fire to several Palestinian vehicles in the village of Ein Yabrud, northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, at dawn Wednesday.

Local sources reported that a group of settlers stormed the village in the early morning hours, torched a number of vehicles parked in front of homes, and scrawled graffiti on walls.

The sources explained that the settlers spray-painted a threatening message on walls saying they are members of “King David Brigades.”

Jewish groups known as “Hilltop Beasts” and “Hilltop Youth” use the name “King David Brigades” to claim responsibility for their attacks in the West Bank.

Extremist Jewish groups continue their violations and acts of terror against Palestinian citizens and their lands in the West Bank, with full support and protection from the far-right Israeli occupation regime, which strives to annex more Palestinian territory.

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

"Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32).

"And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93).

"If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves. Then, when the latter (final) promise came, they (your enemies) will sadden your faces, and to enter the Masjid (in Jerusalem), as they entered it the first time, and will destroy what they had taken over with (total) destruction (Al-Isra, 17: 7).

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
