While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Hamas warns Israeli E1 settlement plan will sever West Bank and isolate Jerusalem

Thursday 14-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Hamas on Thursday condemned an Israeli government plan to advance construction in the “E1” area near Jerusalem, warning it would cut the West Bank in two, isolate Palestinian neighborhoods in East Jerusalem, and further entrench Israel’s de facto annexation policies.

The statement came after Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced plans to build more than 3,400 housing units in the settlement of Ma’ale Adumim, east of Jerusalem. The E1 development, shelved for years due to US and international pressure, has long been viewed as a major obstacle to the creation of a contiguous Palestinian state.

Hamas called the move “a dangerous step” and “proof of the extremist colonial nature of the Israeli government,” accusing it of pursuing policies of killing, forced displacement, and land confiscation in violation of international law and United Nations resolutions prohibiting settlement construction.

The Movement said Israel’s attempts to impose new territorial realities “will fail in the face of Palestinian steadfastness,” stressing that “no act of aggression will confer legitimacy” on the occupation. Hamas urged the international community, human rights bodies, and “free people of the world” to take urgent action, including sanctions, to halt the project.

The E1 area, which covers about 12 square kilometers, falls under the municipal jurisdiction of Ma’ale Adumim and lies to its north and west. Although first proposed during Yitzhak Rabin’s government, the plan was frozen in 2005 for political reasons.

In March, Israel’s security cabinet approved construction of a bypass road for Palestinians south of E1, seen as a preparatory step for settlement expansion, diverting Palestinian traffic away from Route 1, which connects Jerusalem to Ma’ale Adumim and is used primarily by settlers.

Hamas also called on Palestinian factions to unite behind a strategy of resistance and urged Palestinians to remain steadfast and intensify opposition “until the occupation is defeated and national rights are restored.”

Two Gaza children take part in ceremony of European soccer Super Cup

Thursday 14-August-2025

ROME, (PIC)

Two Palestinian children took part on Wednesday in the medal ceremony of the 2025 UEFA Super Cup soccer match in Udine, Italy, while a banner reading “Stop Killing Children—Stop Killing Civilians” was displayed during the teams’ line-up before kickoff.

UEFA (The Union of European Football Associations) decided to display the message on the pitch in front of the players.

The children, Tala, 12, and Mohamed, 9, joined UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin to greet the players for the medal ceremony after Paris Saint-Germain beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-3 on penalties.

UEFA described Tala as “a young Palestinian girl with fragile health who was transferred to Milan to receive appropriate medical care, as the adequate equipment was lacking in Gaza after the start of the [Israeli] war.”

Mohamed, UEFA stated, “lost his parents during the war and was severely injured following an [Israeli] air strike.” Mohamed and his grandmother left Gaza for Milan so the boy could receive treatment due to the seriousness of his condition, the soccer federation added.

Moreover, nine children from conflict zones in Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Palestine and Ukraine, and who have sought refuge in Italy, also participated in the opening ceremony of the match.

Their participation was organized by the UEFA Foundation for Children, a charitable organization established in 2015 by UEFA to defend the rights of underprivileged children.

As the game kicked off, UEFA posted the following on X: “From the UEFA Super Cup in Udine, the message is loud and clear. A banner. A call.”

On Tuesday, the foundation announced it had expanded its efforts to help children in Gaza, in partnership with charities providing aid.

It wrote on its website, “The latest partnerships have been set up with three charities providing vital humanitarian help for the children of Gaza, who are enduring what UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has described as ‘a humanitarian catastrophe of epic proportions.’”

The organizations are Médecins du Monde, Médecins Sans Frontières and Handicap International.

Over 100 international groups accuse Israel of blocking entry of aid into Gaza since March

Thursday 14-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

More than 100 international organizations say Israel has blocked them from delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip since March, worsening a starvation crisis that has already killed at least 235 Palestinians, according to the Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza.

Groups including Doctors Without Borders, the Norwegian Refugee Council, and Oxfam reported that in a single month, over 60 aid shipments were denied entry, leaving millions of dollars’ worth of food, medicine, water, and shelter supplies stranded in warehouses in Jordan and Egypt.

The organizations accused Israeli occupation authorities of imposing new restrictions requiring detailed registration with a government committee, including the submission of personal data on international staff and their families, conditions they say violate privacy laws and effectively allow Israel to block or expel aid agencies.

The PGMO said hospitals and health centers are facing an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, with more than 2.4 million civilians, half of them children, suffering from severe food shortages. Among the recorded starvation-related deaths are 106 children, 19 women, and 75 elderly people. It warned that 40,000 infants under one year old are acutely malnourished and at immediate risk, while 250,000 children under five face life-threatening hunger.

Officials and aid agencies accused Israel of using starvation as a weapon of war in violation of international humanitarian law, calling it part of a broader genocide against Gaza’s population. They urged the international community, the United Nations, and donor states to pressure Israel to open all crossings and allow unrestricted humanitarian access.

Israeli occupation authorities have denied blocking aid, saying the new registration system ensures supplies reach civilians rather than Hamas, and claiming some groups refuse to meet security requirements.

'Hamas urges Arab states to end normalization after Netanyahu endorses ‘Greater Israel’ vision

Thursday 14-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement has condemned remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in which he outlined what he called a “Greater Israel” vision, one that includes control over Arab territories such as Egypt, Jordan, and Syria, warning that it exposes the grave threat the Israeli state poses to the region and its expansionist ambitions that spare no country.

In a statement on Wednesday, 'Hamas said these “fascist” comments demand clear and decisive Arab positions, including cutting ties and recalling ambassadors from Israel, halting all normalization efforts, and uniting behind the option of confronting the occupation and resisting its plans.

The Movement said Netanyahu’s claim that he is on a “historic and spiritual mission” to achieve this expansionist goal reflects “the madness and delusion” driving his actions, as the far-right ruling clique continues a genocidal and starvation war against the Palestinian people in Gaza and seeks to widen its aggression to neighboring states.

'Hamas called on the international community to denounce the remarks, act to rein in Netanyahu and his government, end the ongoing genocide against civilians in Gaza, and confront his ambitions that threaten both regional and global security.

Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court for alleged war crimes in Gaza, made his comments in an interview Tuesday with Israeli channel i24, saying he felt emotionally and historically bound to what he described as the “Greater Israel” vision.

His remarks come amid Israel’s ongoing genocide and blockade-induced starvation in the Gaza Strip, alongside increasingly aggressive rhetoric from Israel’s far-right factions advocating expansion and annexation, culminating in calls for a “Greater Israel” extending from the Nile to the Euphrates.

Gaza death toll from Israel's deadly aggression surpasses 61,776

GAZA, August 14, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed on Thursday that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 61,776, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023.

The Ministry added that the death toll has risen to 154,906 since the start of the aggression, while a number of victims remain under the rubble, unable to be reached by ambulances and civil defense teams.

The Ministry indicated that 54 people were killed (including 4 who were recovered) and 831 wounded arrived and were taken in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours. The death toll and injuries since March 18, when the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement, has reached 10,251 and 42,865 wounded.

The Ministry explained that the number of slain aid-seekers who were taken to hospitals over the past 24 hours reached 22, with 269 injured, bringing the total number of slain aid-seekers at hospitals to 1,881, and the total number of injured to 13,863.

In the past 24 hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip recorded four deaths due to the Israeli-imposed starvation and malnutrition, bringing the total number to 239, including 106 children.

Israeli occupation army continues to target civilians, amid ongoing starvation

Thursday 14-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation army continued, last night and on Thursday, to carry out intensive deadly strikes and target civilians in different areas of the Gaza Strip, especially in Gaza City.

According to local media sources, Israeli forces also continued today to detonate and bomb more homes and displace families in the Gaza Strip, further deepening the dire humanitarian crisis as the population grapples with worsening famine.

According to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter in Gaza, Israeli attacks have continued across the Gaza Strip, including an Israeli airstrike on an apartment in az-Zeitoun neighborhood that killed one citizen.

Casualties were reported following an Israeli artillery attack near Gaza City’s Firas market area.

Two citizens were also martyred following an Israeli strike in Gaza City’s Al-Tuffah neighborhood.

Several people suffered injured in an Israeli aerial attack on a house near Al-Samir junction in Gaza City’s al-Daraj neighborhood.

More people were martyred or injured in Israeli attacks on aid seekers near distribution points in southern and central Gaza.

The Israeli army also launched attacks on other areas of the Gaza Strip last night and today, killing and wounding more civilians, including children and women.

Meanwhile, dozens of Palestinians in Gaza were pronounced dead after they succumbed to injuries they sustained in recent attacks.

4 Palestinians die of malnutrition in Gaza as Israeli blockade-driven starvation death toll nears 240

Thursday 14-August-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said Thursday that four Palestinians have died in the past 24 hours from severe malnutrition caused by Israel’s systematic starvation policy, lack of medical treatment, and the ongoing blockade, part of a 22-month genocide.

The latest deaths raise the total number of Palestinians who died of starvation and malnutrition to 239 since the beginning of the crisis, including 106 children. Health officials warned that catastrophic humanitarian conditions persist as food and medicine remain scarce, with aid deliveries severely restricted.

Marie-Aure Perreaut, head of nursing activities for Doctors Without Borders in Gaza, said Israeli-imposed barriers are making humanitarian operations “extremely difficult,” stressing that airdropped aid is no substitute for sustained, unrestricted ground deliveries. She noted that soaring summer temperatures are worsening health problems in the enclave.

The UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) reported that temperatures in Gaza have surpassed 40°C (104°F), intensifying the humanitarian emergency amid severe water shortages and the risk of dehydration. Ongoing bombardment, forced displacement, and the lack of electricity and fuel have left civilians with no means to cool down or store food. UNRWA called for an immediate ceasefire to prevent an even greater catastrophe.

Earlier this week, Gaza’s Government Media Office (GMO) revealed alarming figures: 40,000 infants under one year old are acutely malnourished and at immediate risk, 250,000 children under five face life-threatening food shortages, and more than 1.2 million children under 18 suffer from extreme food insecurity. The GMO said that these statistics reflect a deliberate Israeli policy of using hunger as a weapon of war in violation of international humanitarian law.

IOFs kidnap several citizens during raids in the West Bank

Thursday 14-August-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped, last night and on Thursday morning, a number of Palestinian citizens in the West Bank, amid clashes in some areas.

According to local sources, the IOFs kidnapped two young men from Nablus City and El-'Ain refugee camp.

In Qalqilya, the IOFs reportedly kidnapped one young man from the city.

However, sources said that the IOFs carried out widespread kidnappings and raids on homes in Qalqilya City, without specifying the number of the detainees.

In Salfeet, two citizens were taken prisoner following an IOFs raid in Kafr Ed-Deek town.

Several citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas during skirmishes between local youths and the Israeli occupation soldiers in Kafr Ed-Deek.

In El-Khaleel (Hebron), some houses caught fire after the Israeli occupation soldiers intensively fired tear gas canisters during clashes with local youths in Sa’ir town.

In southern El-Khaleel (Hebron), the Israeli occupation forces kidnapped in the morning three citizens after a horde of the illegal Israeli settlers stormed Khirbet 'Huraibat En-Nabi hamlet in Masafir Yatta and assaulted local residents.

Local activist Osama Makhamra said that settlers stormed Khirbet 'Huraibat En-Nabi and assaulted local residents who defended themselves and homes before the Israeli occupation soldiers intervened to protect the illegal settlers.

Makhamra added that the Israeli occupation soldiers kidnapped three of the villagers in 'Huraibat En-Nabi.

Meanwhile, other groups of armed settlers stormed different Palestinian hamlets of Masafir Yatta and herded and grazed their livestock on swaths of cultivated land and near homes.

Illegal Israeli settlers reestablish illegal outpost near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, August 14, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers on Thursday reestablished an illegal outpost on a tract of land in the town of 'Attara, north of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.

They said that the illegal Israeli settlers set up tents at the site of Jabal Khirbet Tarfeem near the town entrance after it was torn down by the Israeli occupation forces.

On Monday,  dozens of colonists leveled the land and transported mobile homes to the site, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces, to displace the indigenous population and seize their lands for new settler-colonial projects.

Covering an area of 2,00 dunams, Jabal Khirbet Tarfeem is an archaeological site frequented by illegal colonists as part of a colonial settlement policy aimed at displacing the Palestinian population.

The settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by the Israeli occupation apartheid regime.

The settler violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) in violation of international law.

IOAR issues tenders for construction of 4,030 housing units in W. Bank settlements

Thursday 14-August-2025

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime (IOAR) announced on Wednesday six tenders for the construction and expansion of two illegal West Bank settlements.

The tenders invited contractors to bid for the construction and marketing of 4,030 new settler housing units in the illegal colonies of “Ariel” in Salfeet governorate and “Ma’ale Adumim” in Jerusalem governorate.

According to Peace Now in Israel and the Palestinian Wall and Colonization Resistance Commission, three of these tenders are designated for expanding the newly developed “Ariel West” neighborhood with 730 units.

“Ariel West will isolate and ultimately block the development of the Palestinian town of Salfeet, which was intended to serve as a district center for surrounding Palestinian communities,” Peace Now said.

The remaining three target “Ma’ale Adumim,” between Bethlehem and al-Khalil, which involve the construction of 3,300 new colonial units.

“The 3,300 housing units in Ma’ale Adumim represent an increase of about 33 percent in the settlement’s housing stock — an enormous expansion for a settlement whose population has been stagnant at around 38,000 for the past decade and has experienced net out-migration. The tenders are for a large neighborhood that will connect Ma’ale Adumim’s built-up area with the industrial zone to its east,” Peace Now explained.

The Palestinian Commission, for its part, pointed out that the approvals for “Ma’ale Adumim” were granted in July, and those for “Ariel” in May.

The rapid shift from approval to tendering reflects that the Israeli occupation regime is racing against time to solidify new illegal Israeli settlement faits accomplis in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Commission expressed its belief that the map attached to the “Ariel West” tender indicates that the proposed site lies over two kilometers from the existing colony, pointing to a concealed effort to establish a new settlement under the pretext of expansion.

Israeli occupation forces seize several vehicles belonging to Palestinians near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, August 14, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation forces on Thursday seized several vehicles from Turmus 'Ayya town, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.

They said that the occupying forces barged their way into the town and took over at least three vehicles.

Meanwhile, the gun-toting soldiers smashed the windows of Palestinian-licensed vehicles parked on the roadside in 'Ajjoul village, northwest of Ramallah.

The Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which also take place in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

Israel occupation forces deliver new demolition notices in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), targeting several structures

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), August 14, 2025 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces delivered demolition notices in the town of Al-'Aizariya, east of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

According to the Jerusalem Governorate, Israeli troops raided the Baraka area, northeast of Al-'Aizariya, and handed out demolition notices against five homes and structures.

On Wednesday, the occupation forces issued demolition and evacuation orders to more than 13 residential, agricultural, and industrial facilities in the Wadi Al-Houd area of Al-'Aizariya.

Such actions are a part of an ongoing wave of demolitions concentrated in the city of Jerusalem, in order to implement the so-called "colonial fabric of life" plan E1.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime force Palestinian to demolish part of his house in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), August 14, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime forced a Palestinian resident to self-demolish a large part of his home in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

Local sources reported that the occupation authorities compelled  'Ammar Qara'een to tear down a large part of his house, located in the Wadi El-'Hilwa neighborhood of Silwan.

Israeli authorities force Palestinians, particularly in occupied Jerusalem, to self-demolish their homes under the pretext of lacking a permit. Those who refuse to do so are subjected to demolition by bulldozers, imposing exorbitant costs on the owner.

The Jerusalem municipality refuses to grant Palestinians building permits, demolishes their homes or forces them to do so. This practice violates international and humanitarian laws that guarantee the right to housing.

This practice is part of the occupation's systematic practices of forcibly displacing Palestinians from the city of Jerusalem in an attempt to pave the way for the expansion of colonies in and around the city.

Presidency welcomes South Sudan's rejection of Israel's plan to move Gazans to its territory

RAMALLAH, August 14, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Palestinian Presidency welcomed on Thursday the position of the Republic of South Sudan, as stated in a statement by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The statement categorically denied allegations of any discussions with Israel regarding transferring the residents of the Gaza Strip to its territory, appreciating its refusal to participate in any schemes aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause or undermining the unity of the Palestinian people and land.

The Presidency expressed the appreciation of President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian people for these courageous positions of the Republic of South Sudan, which is committed to the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, international law, and international legitimacy resolutions that affirm the rejection of displacement as a war crime punishable under international law.

The Presidency commended the position of the State of South Sudan in not tacitly participating in the war of genocide, starvation, and displacement attempts carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities, in clear defiance of the international community and its resolutions, which emphasized the necessity of an immediate cessation of the war, the entry of aid, and the prevention of displacement.

Qatar condemns Israel’s Smotrich approval of E1 settlement plan

DOHA, August 14, 2025 (WAFA) –

Qatar condemned on Thursday Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s approval of the highly controversial E1 colonial settlement project that “buries the idea of a Palestinian state”.

“The State of Qatar strongly condemns the Israeli Finance Minister’s approval of plans to construct a settlement that would separate East Jerusalem from the occupied West Bank, considering it a blatant violation of international legitimacy, particularly United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334,” the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.

The Ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s “unequivocal rejection of the Israeli occupation’s policies aimed at expanding settlements and forcibly displacing the Palestinian people—measures intended to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.”

It underscored “the urgent need for the international community to unite in compelling Israel to halt its settlement expansion plans and to comply with international resolutions.”

It reiterated “Qatar’s firm and unwavering position in support of the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, based on international legitimacy and the two-state solution, in a manner that guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.”

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemned, in the strongest possible terms, the Israeli occupation authorities' approval of the construction of colonial settlements around the occupied city of Jerusalem.

The Kingdom also denounced the Israeli Foreign Minister's statements preventing the establishment of a Palestinian state, considering them a violation of international law, the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of their sovereign state, and relevant Security Council resolutions, foremost among them Security Council Resolution 2234 (2016), which calls on Israel to cease settlement activities in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and affirms the illegality of Israel's establishment of settlements in the territory occupied since 1967.

It also recalled the Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice, which affirmed the invalidity of the annexation of the occupied Palestinian territories and the necessity of ending the Israeli occupation.

“These decisions and statements confirm the continuation of the illegal expansionist policies of this Israeli government, its obstruction of the peace process, and the serious threat to the possibility of a two-state solution. This requires the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, protect the Palestinian people, and fulfill their legitimate rights, including recognition of the Palestinian state. It must also compel Israel to stop its aggression against Gaza and its illegal violations in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and to halt its crimes against the Palestinian people, particularly those amounting to genocide, and hold the perpetrators accountable,” said the Ministry in a statement.

The Kingdom renewed its categorical rejection of Israeli policies based on settlement expansion, forced displacement, and the denial of the Palestinian people's legitimate rights. It called on the international community, especially the permanent members of the Security Council, to take immediate action to compel the Israeli occupation authorities to end their crimes against the Palestinian people and the occupied Palestinian territory and to comply with UN resolutions and international law.

Jordan condemns Israeli settlement plan in E1 Area

AMMAN, August 14, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs on Wednesday strongly condemned the approval by extremist Israeli Minister Bezalel Smotrich of a settlement plan in the E1 area, along with his extremist, racist remarks opposing the establishment of a Palestinian state, according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).

The ministry described these statements as a flagrant violation of international law and an infringement on the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to establish an independent, sovereign state along the June 4, 1967, lines, with occupied Jerusalem as its capital, stressing that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories.

Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Sufian El-Qudhah underscored the Kingdom’s categorical rejection of the settlement plan and all illegal Israeli measures, which constitute a blatant breach of international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2334. This resolution condemns all Israeli actions aimed at altering the demographic composition, character, and status of the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem.

El-Qudhah further referred to the Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice, which affirms the need to end the Israeli occupation and the illegality of the annexation of the occupied Palestinian territories.

He warned that the extremist Israeli government’s expansionist policies in the occupied West Bank perpetuate cycles of violence and conflict in the region.

El-Qudhah  reiterated the call for the international community to fulfill its legal and moral obligations by compelling Israel to halt its aggression against Gaza, its dangerous escalation in the occupied West Bank, and the inflammatory rhetoric of its officials. He also urged the provision of protection for the Palestinian people, the fulfillment of their legitimate right to an independent, sovereign state, and accountability for crimes committed against them.

Iraq denounces, in strongest terms possible, Netanyahu's statements on so-called "Vision of Greater Israel"

RAMALLAH, August 14, 2025 (WAFA) –

The Republic of Iraq condemned, in the strongest terms possible, the statements issued by Israeli authorities regarding the so-called "Greater Israel Vision," which clearly reveal this entity's expansionist ambitions and confirm its efforts to destabilize the region.

The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the statements represent a blatant provocation against sovereignty and a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, calling for a clear and firm Arab and international stance to confront such policies.

The Ministry emphasized that these remarks comes in parallel with the ongoing occupation aggression against the Palestinian people.

It further affirmed  that these polices, coupled with a political discourse based on expansionism and annexation, require effective action to put an end to the occupation's violations and halt the policy of impunity.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
