232 Palestinians Killed, Including 65 Children, 39 Women, 17 Elderly, and 1900 Injured

IMEMC, May 20, 2021

Editor's Note:

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of David, Solomon, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

The following news stories are just examples of the Israeli occupation apartheid regime violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Developments of the Ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip – Day 11

Two hundred and thirty- two (232) Palestinians have been killed, including 65 children, 39 women, and 17 elderly people, and 1900 have been wounded due to the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health is concerned about the humanitarian situation and the health conditions of the population in Gaza.

Israeli forces targeted densely populated residential areas, displacing 50,000 families to shelters. These overcrowded shelters are now a dangerous environment for the rapid spread of COVID-19.

Direct targeting of the Ministry of Health’s facilities and health centers stopped the central laboratory’s services for the fourth day. This affects Coronavirus testing, COVID-19 vaccinations, pregnancy services, and telemedicine.

The Medical Relief Foundation’s laboratory is being utilized to provide coronavirus testing to travelers only due to the laboratory’s limited capacity.

Since the beginning of the attacks on May 11, many homes have been destroyed. Twenty-four health facilities have suffered partial or complete damage as a result of the continuous Israeli bombardment. The targeting and killing of health care professionals have added additional strain to the provision of patient services.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip appeals to all friends of human rights and of Palestinian people – whether governments or charitable and humanitarian institutions – to respond urgently, and to take effective and urgent steps to overcome this humanitarian crisis. The health sector needs an estimated USD 46.6 million to continue to provide the necessary services by the ministry.”

Updated: Israeli Colonist Kills A Palestinian Woman In Hebron

 IMEMC, MAY 19, 2021

An Israeli colonialist settler killed, Wednesday, a Palestinian woman near the illegal Kiryat Arba colony, in Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Palestinian sources said the colonist shot Wafa’ Abdul-Rahim Barade’ey, 34 while walking on the main street near the colony before the soldiers rushed to the scene and prevented Palestinian medics from approaching her.

The settler, identified by locals as a man named ‘Ofer’ from Kiryat Arba known for harassing the Palestinian residents of Hebron, killed the mother of five in cold blood, then put his gun near her corpse on the ground to try to make a false claim that she was a threat.

The woman was killed instantly in the attack, and Israeli soldiers took her corpse after refusing to hand it to the Palestinian medics.

The woman is a married mother of five children, from Bani Neim town, east of Hebron.

In addition, Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian journalists and injured a reporter, identified as Fadi Khallaf, a cameraman with Palestine TV, as he attempted to document the murder of Wafa’ and the attempt by her killer to frame her.

The colonists also threatened to shoot the journalists with live fire if they did not stop filming and leave the area.

An Israeli military spokesperson tried to claim that Palestinian woman was armed and had opened fire with an M-16 rifle, and some Israeli media outlets took the narrative for granted and even reported the incident was an attempted stabbing attack, pictures from the scene show the woman posed no threat to the soldiers, or anybody else. What they show is an armed paramilitary settler taking a knee to aim before killing her. The gun he used is then seen planted near her body, as if she had been the one holding it.

The framing of Palestinian victims of Israeli shootings is a common occurrence in the West Bank. In most cases, no investigation is ever carried out by the Israeli military authorities which rule the Palestinian Territories under martial law.

Palestinian-Armenian Christian Cleric Attacked Near Church of The Holy Sepulchre

 IMEMC, MAY 20, 2021

Three illegal Israeli extremist settlers severely targeted and beat a number of clerics from the Armenian Orthodox Church Wednesday evening in occupied Jerusalem, witnesses say. The clerics suffered multiple injuries, including one sustaining an injured eye, according to a report by the Wafa News Agency.

One of the priests, Reverend Arbak Sarukhanian, was attacked and injured while walking to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The Patriarchate has filed a formal complaint with the Israeli police, after which three of the Israeli extremists responsible for the violence were arrested,  according to a report by Asbarez News Agency.

Rev. Sarukhanian was rushed to the hospital and discharged after receiving necessary medical treatment.

Rev. Koryun Baghdasarian, Chancellor at Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem issued this statement : “We demand that law enforcement conducts a fair investigation and that the perpetrators are punished in accordance with the law in order to avoid a recurrence of such incidents in the future.’’

The attacks on the clerics and church officials comes in the midst of numerous attacks on Palestinian churches and mosques, including an Israeli missile that completely destroyed a large mosque in Gaza on Saturday morning.

Church officials worldwide have remained largely silent on the Israeli escalation over the past nine days, in which Israeli forces killed over 200 Palestinians, including over 60 children.

Eight Israelis have been killed over the past ten days as well, mainly by rockets fired indiscriminately over the border by desperate Palestinians imprisoned in Gaza, who constructed the crude rockets out of scrap materials and whatever they were able to find in the besieged coastal Strip.
