Bombardment targets Tadmur city

SOHR, March 6, 2016

Homs province: Rose to 3 the number of rebels who were killed by clashes against regime forces around Kesen in the northern countryside, Warplanes raided Tadmur city which is taken over by IS amid heavy bombardment by the regime on the area.

Damascus province: 2 explosions have been heard in al-Yarmouk camp, no information about their nature.

Al-Tanaf crossing is under control by IS

The IS is still taking control on al-Tanaf crossing, Islamic battalions were able to take control on the crossing which connects Syrian Badia with Homs countryside and Iraq near The Jordanian crossing, Regime forces pulled back from the crossing in the 22nd of May/2015. The IS is also still taking control on al-Bokamal crossing between al-Bokamal city ,and al-Qaem city in Iraq.

Clashes in al-Merej area and bombardment targets Der-Ezzor

Der-Ezzor province: Warplanes raided Hetla, Hweja Saqer, and al-Mereia areas, no reports of losses.

Reef Dimashq province: Clashes took place between regime forces and rebels around al-Merej area, reports of losses in both sides. 1 soldier was killed by targeting his location by rebels in Ein Terma town.

Fourteen dead and dozens injured in 'terror' attack in Aleppo city: Syrian state tv

At least fourteen civilians were killed and dozens were injured on Sunday when terrorists struck with mortars and rockets against a busy market place in a residential quarter in the northern city of Aleppo city, Syrian state media said.

The mortars that were fired from rebel-held parts of Aleppo city hit Sheikh Maqsoud, state run Ikhbariyah television station said in a news flash.

The residential area is a mainly Kurdish inhabited quarter of the city that has been for weeks a frontline with heavy clashes between the Syrian Kurdish YPG militias and rebels in control of large parts of the eastern portion of the divided city.

SANA state news agency also reported the incident but gave no details.

Aleppo province: SOHR was informed that no less than 50 rocket shells targeted Shekh Maqsoud neighborhood which is inhabited by YPG, 2 YPG and 3 rebels were killed by clashes between the two sides around the area. Idlib province: A child from Saraqib died wounded by aerial bombardment targeted the area about a week ago.
