2 Palestinians Killed, Scores Kidnapped by Israeli Occupation Soldiers and Illegal Settlers

Palestinian teen killed, another injured in hit-and-run by settler

January 18, 2016, SALFIT, (PIC)--

A 19-year-old Palestinian was killed and another was injured after an Israeli settler ran over them both near Salfit city in the northern West Bank Monday evening. 

According to Israeli sources, a Jewish settler in a speeding car deliberately ran over the two Palestinians who were riding their bicycles.

The Palestinian martyr was identified as Khalil Amer from Salfit. The injury of the other young man was described as moderate. Israeli forces closed road number five after the attack, the sources added.

Anti-occupation youth feared dead after being shot by IOF

January 18, 2016, BETHLEHEM, (PIC)--

 A Palestinian youth was shot and seriously injured by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday in the West Bank district of Bethlehem, following an anti-occupation stabbing attack which left one Israeli soldier injured.

The Israeli army spokesperson claimed that a Palestinian youth broke into the illegal Israeli settlement of Tekoa and stabbed a 30-year-old female soldier, before being shot and injured by the soldiers on the scene.

Both of the injured have been evacuated to the hospital, the same source added.

Initial reports indicated that the youth was shot and killed, but Israeli occupation army and medics have reported that he was shot and seriously wounded.

The Palestinian casualty has yet to be identified.

On Sunday, a Palestinian was shot and killed by the occupation soldiers following an alleged attempted stabbing attack in the northern occupied West Bank district of Nablus, an Israeli army spokesperson said at the time.

The Palestinian man was identified as Wisam Marwan Qasrawa, 21, from the village of Masliya south of Nablus.

Hundreds of mourners march in Wissam Qasrawi’s funeral

Hundreds of Palestinians marched Sunday evening in the funeral of Wissam Qasrawi, 21, who was shot and killed in the northern occupied West Bank district of Nablus.

Israeli forces shot and killed the Palestinian young man earlier on Sunday following an alleged attempted stabbing attack at Hawara checkpoint south of Nablus.

The Palestinian civil affairs authority received the slain Palestinian’s body nearly two hours after his murder to be then moved to his hometown of Masliya south of Jenin.

Family sources told Quds Press that their son was on his way to work when he was shot dead at Hawara checkpoint.
 
Along the same line, Israeli forces stormed in large numbers Masliya town for several hours.

Yediot Ahronot Hebrew newspaper quoted Israeli army spokesperson as saying that Qasrawi was shot and killed after attempting to attack and stab Israeli soldiers, adding that no Israelis were injured during the incident.

Palestinian medical sources said that Israeli forces barred Palestinian ambulances from reaching the injured man who bled to death. 

IOF soldiers have then opened Hawara barrier after closing it for several hours in both directions.

The killing has brought the number of Palestinian victims who were killed by Israeli gunfire since Jerusalem Intifada started in early October to 162 including 30 children and seven women. 

 

Israeli occupation soldiers kidnap two Palestinians after alleged stabbing attempts

January 18, 2016, OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)--

Israeli Occupation soldiers kidnapped Monday evening two Palestinians in eastern Occupied Jerusalem and southern Nablus after alleged stabbing attempts against Israeli soldiers.

Radio Israel said that the Israeli police rounded up an 18-year-old Palestinian in Shufat refugee camp in northern Occupied Jerusalem. 

The radio claimed that the Palestinian teen raised a knife at two Israeli policemen who were searching of two other Palestinian young men suspected of throwing stones at an Israeli train. The detainee was transferred to investigation, the station pointed out. 

The IOF soldiers in the evening arrested another Palestinian man after an alleged stabbing attempt at Howarah barrier in southern Nablus city.

27 Palestinians kidnapped by IOF at crack of dawn

January 18, 2016, JENIN, (PIC)--

At least 27 Palestinian civilians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Monday in a mass-abduction sweep launched across provinces of the West Bank.

The IOF claimed, in a statement, responsibility for the abduction of 13 Palestinians from Silwad, six from al-Khalil, two from Ramallah and another from Bethlehem.

Four more Palestinians were kidnapped by the IOF from Tulkarem and Salfit.

An ex-prisoner was, meanwhile, kidnapped by the IOF from the northern West Bank province of Nablus.

Eyewitnesses said an Israeli special forces rolled into the city and kidnapped the youngster Mahmoud al-Tabouq after they wreaked havoc on his family home.

The IOF also came down heavily on the family of the 20-year-old slain Palestinian Wisam Kasrawi shortly after they stormed Jenin city in over ten military jeeps and ravaged the family’s home at the crack of dawn.

The assault was carried out only a few hours after Wisam’s funeral procession was held in the city.

The IOF further rummaged into several homes of Wisam’s relatives, sparking a state of panic among children.

Wisam was fatally shot by the IOF at the Hawara checkpoint allegedly after the attempted to stab an occupation officer.

Sources based in Tulkarem also said the IOF kidnapped the student activist at the An-Najah University Abada Shadid, 22, and ravaged his family home at dawn.

The Israeli occupation army stepped up arbitrary abduction campaigns against Palestinian youths and activists across the West Bank in an attempt to snuff out the flames of the ongoing anti-occupation uprising and quell Palestinians’ calls to restore their rights.
