Thirteen pro-government fighters were killed in a militia attack on their positions near Sanaa, despite a UN-brokered cease-fire taking effect this week, military sources said on Thursday. The militias attacked positions of Gulf-backed loyalist fighters in Nihm, northeast of Sanaa, where clashes have occurred for two weeks despite warring parties promising to abide by a cease-fire that took effect on Sunday at midnight. A number of Iran-backed militias were also killed in fighting that erupted after the Wednesday attack, sources said

A special UN envoy announced Wednesday a cease-fire across Yemen on April 10 followed a week later by fresh peace talks, raising hopes for a breakthrough.
Yemen has been gripped by violence since September 2014, when Iran-backed Houthi rebels stormed the capital Sanaa and forced the internationally recognized government out.

“The parties to the conflict have agreed to a nationwide cessation of hostilities beginning April 10 at midnight in advance of the upcoming round of the peace talks, which will take place on April 18 in Kuwait,” Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed told a press conference in New York.

A Saudi-led coalition began an air war in March last year to push back an offensive by Iran-backed Houthi rebels, who control Sanaa.

“The aim is to reach an agreement which will end the conflict and allow the resumption of an inclusive political dialogue,” Cheikh Ahmed said Wednesday, telling reporters that he had held intense discussions with the internationally recognized government and the rebels.

The face-to-face negotiations are in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2216, which states that the rebels must withdraw from seized territories and disarm.

The envoy said he hoped the cessation of hostilities would allow safe and unhindered humanitarian access to millions of suffering Yemenis.
Earlier, Riyadh urged the UN to pressure militant groups in Yemen into accepting peace resolutions.

This was the call made by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during a meeting with Cheikh Ahmed.

“During the meeting on Tuesday, the two discussed the latest developments in Yemen and efforts to bring security and stability to the country,” a UN official said on Wednesday.

Before their meeting, Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Ahmed met with President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, who said his government was ready to oversee a transition that would bring peace to the country.

Ahmed had earlier traveled to Sanaa for reconciliation talks.

Russia welcomes ceasefire in Yemen for ending crisis

Russia welcomed on Tuesday the cease-fire reached in Yemen in order to end the crisis and preserve the unity of Yemen.

" Moscow welcomes the readiness of the parties to the crisis in Yemen to put an end to the bloody conflict that the country is living, which left more than 6 thousand people dead, according to UN statistics," said a statement issued by the media department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The ministry stressed in a statement the importance of the success of the ceasefire and the exploitation of the talks due in Kuwait to resume the political dialogue, which should end the crisis and preserve the country's unity.

A UN-brokered ceasefire agreement began in Yemen on Sunday midnight and is scheduled to last till the end of peace talks in Kuwait set to begin on April 18.

Saudi aggression breaches UN-brokered ceasefire 33 times so far

Over 33 violations were recorded by the Saudi aggression and its hirelings until Monday morning.

The Saudi aggression and its mercenaries did not abide by the ceasefire announced by the United Nations, a military official said.

The ceasefire began on Sunday midnight and is scheduled to last till the end of peace talks in Kuwait set to begin on April 18.

The source explained that The Saudi fighter jets continued to launch airstrikes on several provinces and its mercenaries continued to carry out attacks on sites of army and popular committees in governorates of Taiz, Jawf, Mareb, Shabwa and Baida, the official said.


Ansarallah and the General People Congress (GPC) announced minutes after Sunday midnight their commitment to halt hostilities, but said they would fight back if under attack.

Aggression war jets launch 12 raids on Serwah

The Saudi-led aggression coalition warplanes waged on Sunday 12 raids on scattered areas of Serwah district in Mareb province.

A local official explained that the hostile aircrafts launched three raids on Atias mountain, two on the strategic Hilan mountain, two others on Serwah market, one raid on al-Makhdara area and two on Nashr area in Serwah district.

The official added that the aggression raids left large damage to houses and farms of citizens in the targeted areas.

Saudi airstrikes kill eight citizens in Taiz

At least eight citizens were killed and others were injured by air raids waged by the Saudi aggression war jets on al-Wazeiah district of Taiz province on Friday.

A local official said that the aggression warplanes launched two raids on al-Wazeiah district, targeting a car carrying citizens in al-Raqah area in central of the district, which led to the killing of eight people including women and injuring others.

The number of victims could rise because there are people with serious injuries, the official said.

He pointed out that the victims were targeted while they were trying to flee to a neighboring area from the intense air raids on the different parts of the district.

Another raid targeted Sukinah School in the district, leaving large damage to the school building, the official added.

Tens hirelings killed, injured during failed try to advance in Mareb

The mercenaries incurred dozens of dead and wounded during an attempt to advance on al-Ashqari mountain and Wadi al-Melh in Serwah district of Mareb province, a military official said Friday.

The official explained that more than 35 of hirelings were killed and injured, including the leader Abdul-Karim Namran, and others were captured.

Four armored vehicles and three military cars were destroyed during the repulsing operation, he added.

The aggression mercenaries tried to progress from three sites, which are Wadi al-Melh, al-Rabeah area and al-Ashqari mountain, the official said.

He pointed out that the Saudi aggression war jets waged a series of raids on Serwah district in a bid to back the mercenaries and invaders.

واصل تحالف العدوان السعودي ومرتزقته خرق وقف إطلاق النار في محافظات شبوة والبيضاء ولحج.
وأوضح المصدر أن مرتزقة العدوان أطلقوا النار من جبل شميس والتباب الرملية على مواقع الجيش واللجان الشعبية في عسيلان بشبوة.

وأشار المصدر إلى أن طيران العدوان واصل خرق وقف إطلاق النار بشن غارتين على حيد بن عقيل بمديرية عسيلان، وما يزال يحلق بكثافة على سماء المنطقة.

وحسب وكالة الانباء اليمنية (سبأ) فقد لفت المصدر إلى أن مرتزقة العدوان أطلقوا النار بالمدفعية على مواقع بمنطقة الوهبية ظربة في قانية بالبيضاء، كما أطلقوا النار من الشبكة باتجاه الجماجم ومن الاجردي باتجاه الضروة في مديرية الزاهر.

أكد مصدر عسكري استمرار تحالف العدوان السعودي ومرتزقته في خرق وقف إطلاق النار بمحافظة تعز لليوم الخامس على التوالي.

وأوضح المصدر أن مرتزقة العدوان أطلقوا النار من تبة الضبي إلى تبة الخرص ومن منطقة قمل وتبة المحمول باتجاه مواقع في حيفان.

وأشار المصدر إلى أن مرتزقة العدوان أطلقوا النار من جانب المجمع القضائي واتجاه عصيفرة على مواقع الجيش والجان في جبل وعش، كما أطلقوا النار من جنوب عزان على مواقع الجيش واللجان في عزان.

وحسب وكالة الانباء اليمنية (سبأ) فقد لفت المصدر إلى أن مرتزقة العدوان واصلو خرق وقف إطلاق النار في الوزاعية .. حيث أطلقوا من التباب شرق المدرب على جبل المدرب، ومن غرب جبل المجر إلى جبل الغاوي بالوزاعية، كما أطلقوا النار من منطقة الدمغة باتجاه ثعبات بالجحملية.

وأكد المصدر مصرع وجرح وأسر أعداد من مرتزقة العدوان السعودي الأمريكي خلال التصدي لمحاولة تقدم باتجاه جبل جرة .. مبينا أن القوة الصاروخية استهدفت تجمعات للمرتزقة جنوب مديرية ذباب ردا على خروقاتهم المستمرة لاتفاق وقف إطلاق النار.
وذكر المصدر أن مرتزقة العدوان استهدفوا مواقع الجيش واللجان الشعبية من يمين جبل جرة باتجاه البعرارة ، فيما أطلق المرتزقة النار من تبة الشماسي إلى الأمن المركزي.

وحسب وكالة سبأ أوضح مصدر عسكري إن طيران العدوان واصل خرق وقف إطلاق النار ويحلق بكثافة في سماء محافظات صنعاء ومأرب والجوف وذمار.. مشيرا إلى أن مرتزقة العدوان السعودي الأمريكي قاموا بقصف مواقع الجيش واللجان الشعبية في بران و وادي ملح مديرية نهم محافظة صنعاء بصواريخ الكاتيوشا ورشاشات عيار 23.

ولفت المصدر إلى أن مرتزقة العدوان في محافظة مأرب واصلوا خروقات وقف إطلاق النار و قصفوا مواقع الجيش واللجان الشعبية بالمشجح برشاشات ، عيار 23 و 50 ، كما استهدفوا بالأسلحة الرشاشة وادي ملح غرب مأرب ، وبالمدفعية مواقع الجيش واللجان في مديرية صرواح.

وذكر المصدر أن خروقات العدوان في محافظة الجوف تضمنت قيام طيران العدوان بعدة غارات مكثفة على مديرية المتون ، كما حاول مرتزقة العدوان عدة مرات التقدم باتجاه مديرية المتون تحت قصف مكثف وتحليق الطيران والجيش واللجان يتصدون لهم .

وأشار المصدر إلى أن طيران العدوان استهدف لجنة التهدئة في محافظة الجوف بغارتين خلال قيامهم بجهود إيقاف إطلاق النار ،لافتا إلى نجاة أعضاء اللجنة من هذه الغارات.

وحسب المصدر فقد سقط جرحى بينهم نساء إثر غارة استهدفت منزل أحد المواطنين في مديرية المتون ، فيما واصل مرتزقة العدوان استهداف مواقع الجيش واللجان الشعبية في الغيل والمتون والمشرب معيمرة بالأسلحة الخفيفة والمتوسطة والدبابات .. وواصل طيران العدوان السعودي الأمريكي الخروقات ويحلق في سماء مديرية خب والشعف بالمحافظة .

كما شهدت محافظة تعز استمرار خروقات مرتزقة العدوان حيث استهدفوا بالأسلحة الرشاشة مواقع الجيش واللجان جنوب شرق مدارس العمري في ذوباب وجبل ووادي المدرب والمعسكر القديم بذباب .. كما استهدف المرتزقة مواقع الجيش واللجان الشعبية في السلسة الجبلية بمديرية ذوباب بالرشاشات عيار 50 و 12.7 وفي الجره برشاش عيار 12 .7، كما قام المرتزقة باستهداف مواقع الجيش واللجان الشعبية في كلابة بالقناصات .

ولفت المصدر إلى أن طيران العدوان واصل الخروقات وينزل أسلحة لمرتزقته في منطقة صينة ويحلق في سماء مديرية ذوباب .

وفي محافظة شبوه استهدف مرتزقة العدوان السعودي مواقع الجيش واللجان الشعبية في الساق برشاش عيار 23 ، كما استهدفوا منازل المواطنين في نقوب عسيلان بصواريخ الكاتيوشا .

وأشار المصدر إلى أن مرتزقة العدوان السعودي خرقوا وقف إطلاق النار في الضالع حيث استهدفوا مواقع الجيش واللجان الشعبية في موقع يعيس برشاش عيار12.7، وفي العرفاف والتهامي برشاشات عيار 12.7 و 23، كما خرق مرتزقة العدوان في محافظة لحج اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار باستهداف مواقع الجيش واللجان الشعبية في مديرية كرش

وأفاد المصدر أن طيران العدوان واصل التحليق في سماء الحديدة ، فيما قامت بوارج العدوان بإطلاق النيران على الصيادين في إحدى الجزر بالمحافظة .. كما واصل طيران العدوان خروقاته في محافظات صعده و مران وحجة من خلال التحليق المكثف في سماء تلك المحافظات.
