A special Israeli army unit killed a Palestinian young man in Qalqilia city at dawn Thursday, the second to be killed at the hands of the occupation forces within few hours.
Palestinian sources in Qalqilia city said that 24-year-old Saleh Yassin, who works for the PA intelligence apparatus, was gunned down at the eastern entrance of the city.
They said that Israeli occupation forces ambushed the youth and gunned him down, adding that he was hit with multiple bullets.
The IOF claimed that a pistol was found near the body of Yassin.
The murder follows another IOF cold-blooded murder of Nafe Saadi, 23, in Jenin refugee camp, who was shot at point-blank on Wednesday night.
Palestinian killed in clashes following IOF raid on Sheikh Abul-Hayja's house
[ 19/12/2013 - 09:33 AM ]
Palestinian sources reported that a Palestinian young man was killed on Wednesday during an attempt by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) to storm the house of Sheikh Jamal Abul-Hayja, a senior Hamas official, in Jenin refugee camp.
The young man, identified as Jamil Saadi, was seriously injured by the invading troops before he was taken prisoner and soon later proclaimed dead on the evening of the same day.
A medical source told the Palestinian information center (PIC) that the IOF handed over the body of Sa'adi, 21, to the Palestinian side, while hundreds of angry Palestinian young men carried him on their shoulders.
Eyewitnesses reported that special troops aboard a Palestinian-plated car stormed Jenin refugee camp and clashed with a group of young men outside the house of Sheikh Jamal Abul-Hayja as they were breaking into it.
They said that an Israeli soldier shot at close range Sa'adi and seriously wounded him before the invading force took him bleeding aboard their car and drove away.
Other eyewitnesses said that the invading troops were Israeli undercover agents in Arab attire.
They added that the agents burst into the house of Sheikh Abul-Hayja after detonating the main door when suddenly a group of Palestinian resistance fighters showed up and clashed with them.
The eyewitnesses said that the agents failed to kidnap any of the Sheikh's sons.

Israeli navy gunboats fired a number of shells at the shores of Gaza city at a late night hour on Wednesday.
Field sources said that the Israeli gunboats, which are permanently present off the Gaza shores, fired four projectiles to the northwest of Gaza beach, but did not cause any casualties or damage.
The shelling is the latest in a series of Israeli breaches of the calm agreement, concluded between Palestinian factions in Gaza and the Israeli occupation authority under Egyptian sponsorship in November last year, that resulted in killing 11 Palestinians and injuring dozens others.
