Rafah, (PIC)--

Two Palestinians were killed and a third was seriously wounded on Wednesday evening in an airstrike, carried out by an Israeli occupation aircraft, on the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah.

Local sources said that an Israeli drone fired a rocket at a Toyota 4-wheel drive travelling in the centre of Rafah near Abu Taha petrol station resulting in the death of the two people and the wounding of a third travelling on board.

Ambulances rushed to the scene and recovered two corpses and a seriously wounded person, who died on arrival at hospital.

The two men who were killed were identified as Ashraf Saleh and Anis Abu Al-Aineen. The third man is being treated at the European hospital in Gaza.

National and Islamic Forces condemned and denounced the arrest campaign against the liberated prisoners, considering it as a betrayal of the suffering of the prisoners.

Raed Salah: 200 Islamic waqf violated by the illegal occupation government in Jerusalem

[ 19/09/2012 - 08:25 PM ]

ISTANBUL, (PIC)--

Shaikh Raed Salah, the leader of the Islamic Movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, said that the Israeli occupation government is trying to obliterate the Palestinian historical and religious heritage.

About 200 mosques, religious schools, and Islamic monuments in and around Jerusalem are used by the Israeli occupation government for different purposes rather than their original purposes, Shaikh Salah revealed during his visit to Turkey invited by the association for the protection of the Ottoman monuments in and around Jerusalem.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency correspondent on Tuesday, Sheikh Salah criticized the neglect shown in the Muslim world or Turkey towards the Islamic monuments that were turned by the occupation to galleries, bars, police stations and Israeli associations, stressing that many of Ottoman monuments are exposed to vandalism.

Sheikh Salah urged the Arab and Muslim worlds to play a real role in the protection of "the places of worship [which are being] used for other purposes," as the wine and beer festival attempted to be held in the Be'er Sheva's Mosque.

He pointed out that the Israeli extremist groups' excavations reached the bottom of the Aqsa Mosque square, stressing that the Israeli Occupation Authorities are trying to divide al-Aqsa mosque between Muslims and Jews, as they did in the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil.
