[ 02/01/2011 - 08:08 AM ]

NABLUS, (PIC)--

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) killed a Palestinian young man from Tobas when he approached a military roadblock east of Nablus on Sunday morning, eyewitnesses reported.

They said that the soldiers manning Al-Hamra road barrier detained the body of the youth and cordoned off the entire area.

They said that the soldiers deliberately fired at Ahmed Daraghme, 21, while walking near the barrier after they claimed he tried to assault them. The soldiers riddled his body with bullets killing him instantly then blocked movement on the barrier.

The IOF deploys more than 650 roadblocks in the West Bank cities, villages, and refugee camps turning them into isolated cantons.

Hamas MPs: Murdering unarmed civilians reveals Israel's savagery

 [ 02/01/2011 - 12:49 PM ]

RAMALLAH, (PIC)--

Hamas lawmakers in Nablus strongly denounced the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) for murdering Ahmed Muslamani near the Hamra roadblock east of Nablus in cold blood.

The deputies issued a press release on Sunday saying that the murder of Muslamani and before him Abu Rahma in Bilin displayed Israel's criminal nature and its insistence on the war of genocide against all Palestinians.

The IOF cold-blooded murder of innocent civilians provided yet another proof on Israel's savagery and disrespect of all international and humanitarian laws, they said.

The MPs furthermore charged that the killing of the young man reveals the lies about Israel easing measures on those roadblocks.

Palestinian medical sources reported on Sunday morning, that Israeli occupation soldiers stationed at the Al-Hamra roadblock in the Jordan valley, shot and killed a Palestinian youth despite having his hands up following soldiers demands.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that slain resident was identified as Mahmoud Mohammad Daraghma, 21.

The Red Crescent added that Daraghma was shot in his chest and buttocks while walking towards the roadblock.

The Maan News Agency reported that Dr. Hatem Farroukh, who witnessed the shooting, said that Daraghma had both of his hand over his head before two soldiers, male and female, shot him from a distance that does not exceed three meters.

Daraghma was not armed and only had a Coke can in his hand and that just before he was shot he was walking next to some female soldiers. The soldiers then opened fire at him from different directions.

In related news, medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that two residents were wounded on Sunday at dawn after the army bombarded areas in northern and central Gaza.

The Israeli Air Force bombarded a site, believed to be used as a training center for the fighters of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, in Jabalia in northern Gaza. Damage to the site and a number of surrounding homes were damaged, and one resident was mildly injured.

The second attack targeted an area west of Al-Nussairat refugee camp in Central Gaza inflicting one injury.
