Abu Sha'ar Warns of a Religious War Between Muslims and Jews in Occupied Jerusalem

[ 06/10/2010 - 03:00 PM ]

GAZA, (PIC)--

Palestinian minister of religious affairs Taleb Abu Sha'ar warned that a devastating war is likely to happen between Muslims and Jews as a result of Israel's escalating Judaization plans in occupied Jerusalem, the latest of which in Al-Buraq wall square, west of the Aqsa Mosque.

In a statement on Wednesday, Abu Sha'ar said that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) in Jerusalem declared a plan to widen and change many Palestinian places in the old city of Jerusalem, especially the opening of a new door in the wall of the old city.

He noted that this plan is part of wider plans prepared by the IOA to make changes in the area of Al-Buraq wall (known by Israelis as wailing wall).

The minister affirmed that these Israeli plans are aimed at realizing the Zionist dream of Judaizing the entire city of Jerusalem.

"The new door will be the entrance to a tunnel to be dug into the rock under the city and will extend from Prophet David and Maghariba gates to a four-story parking lot located under the current parking lot near Al-Buraq wall," the minister explained, adding that the plan is aimed at facilitating the arrival of Jews to Al-Buraq wall area.
