The founder of the Islamic resistance group Hamas, Shaikh Ahmed Yassin, was assassinated this Monday morning when he left the Mosque after the dawn prayers. Six Ahmed Yassins were born in Palestine within two hours of the Israeli assassination of Shaikh Ahmed Yassin. Hospital sources said that parents of the newly born boys quickly started calling their children with the name of the assassinated Hamas leader in recognition to his leadership and love for the Palestinian people (Alquds Alarabi, 3/24/04).
