Killer Israel Suffocates Palestine

By Genevieve Cora Fraser

May 15, 2004

Isolated behind the wall

In the place the soldiers

Deny exists Palestine

Every day we wait

For the soldiers

To unlock the gate

To freedom Palestine

To work to school

To the fields

We are denied

Men sleep till noon

Depressed unable

To do what is needed

To seek permission

Denied entry

On their land

Anger wells

Inside the shell of self

Pours out onto the family

The streets fights

Break out anger bursts

Like gunfire towards

The wall hate

They can no longer

Suppress spills

Out in defiance

At the wall hemmed

In a life so unjust

The crush of Israel’s

Denial they exist

Swallow pride

As they swallow

Your lives

Your land

Palestine

Does not

Exist

It is Israel

The soldiers

Sneer
