One Hundred Female Martyrs Vow Attacks Inside Israel in Retaliation to the Ongoing Israeli Offensive on Gaza Strip

Spokeswoman of female martyrs' group vows attack inside Israel

Gaza, July 10, 2006 (RNA) –

In a first for the Palestinian factions, a Spokeswoman of the Fatah-linked Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades declared on Monday that her group has created a new 'feminist military branch' to carry out military operations inside Israel.

Um El-Abed, the spokeswoman of the new branch which was called "The Female Martyrs" Unit' said at a press conference that Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades decided on forming a group of one hundred women in the West bank and Gaza Strip as well as Jerusalem.

Um El-Abed, a nom de guerre, appeared on TV pictures with a number of masked women standing at the background, vowed military operations inside Israel in response at the ongoing "Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip" which started two weeks ago and left 40 deaths and enormous destruction to the civilian infrastructure.
