British Soldier Killed in Afghanistan Dec 28, 2006, 6:06 AM EST KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- A bomb explosion caused a NATO occupation forces vehicle to crash, killing one British soldier and wounding three in southern Afghanistan, officials said Thursday. The bomb hit a reconnaissance patrol in Helmand province on Wednesday, a statement from the International Security Assistance Force said. One of the soldiers died, one was seriously wounded and two suffered minor injuries. Britain's Ministry of Defense said the soldiers were British. Lt. Col. Andy Price told Britain's Sky News that the explosion could have been caused by an old mine from past wars. He said it was unlikely the British occupation soldiers were targeted because the explosion went off "in the middle of the desert." (So, the arrogance continues).
Al-Jazeerah Editor's Note: US-UK News corporate media do not publish photos of the daily massacres in Afghanistan. Readers are urged to send photos of Afghanis killed by NATO occupation forces or links of websites which publish such photos. Editors, journalists, and readers are urged to use correct and objective references to the Afghani Taliban resistance fighters as such, not the other derogatory conflict terminology used by NATO occupation forces and their corporate media outlets, such as guerilla, terrorist, militant, extremist, and insurgent group. More important is being cautious about the figures of the Afghanis killed daily by NATO occupation forces and US-Led Afghani forces. These should be treated as targeting "alleged" Taiban fighters. This is because evidence has shown that these were Afghani civilians, not Taliban resistance fighters. Al-Jazeerah comments are in parentheses. Why are US-Led NATO forces occupying Afghanistan?
