Israeli Occupation Forces Continue Terrorizing Palestinians, Storming Towns, Arresting and Harassing Peolple at Checkpoints

WEST BANK, Palestine, April13, 2005 (IPC+ Agencies)--

Israeli occupation Forces further tightened the curfew imposed on the Hewara town, south of Nablus city in the West Bank and arrested a teenage boy in the area, after alleging he was holding bombs.

IPC correspondent in the city said that the Israeli occupation troops barred access of locals in and out of the area, and detained the Palestinian teen boy, Hassan Al-Hashash, 15 years-old, while passing through the Hewara checkpoint, after alleging he was holding explosive devices.

In the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, Ahmad Sanajra, 15 years-old, was wounded moderately after an explosive device had went off in himself, witnesses and medics said.

Meanwhile, the Israeli troops erected today morning a military checkpoint at the Ya'bad -Jenin road in northern West Bank, and began searching passing vehicles provocatively, witnesses told the IPC's.

In a related development, an Israeli military court sentenced yesterday Palestinian detainee Khalil Barq'a, to 20 times-long life imprisonment.

Ba'rq'a, is a resident of the Ayda refugee camp, near the Bethlehem City and has been detained in the Israeli prison of Etsion, near the city, sources at the Palestinian Ministry of Prisoners told the IPC's.

Also,another Israeli military court sentenced yesterday Adel Jamil Jobran, from the Beit Sahour town, near the West Bank city of Bethlehem to 48-months long imprisonment and a fine of NIS 10.000 (approximately $2100)

The Israeli occupation soldiers erected, as well, a mobile checkpoint abruptly at the Dair Sharaf crossroad, west of Nablus and stopped passing vehicles, then beaten Tahseen Bsharat,26, severely , causing him a wound in his abdomen, witnesses and medics said.

In a separate incident, the Israeli soldiers arrested last night Palestinian resident, Mohammad Al-Anati, from the West Bank refugee camp of Al-Fawar, south of Hebron, after a large contingent had been deployed at the northern entrance of the camp.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation troops stormed Tuesday the old town of Alkhader, south of Bethlehem, and broke into a number of houses, including that of Ahmad Esa, causing a state of panic amongst local inhabitants.

Local sources said that an Israeli patrol stopped passing vehicles and checked on passersby's ID cards. No arrests were reported.

In the Tulkarem city, the Israeli occupation troops closed Tuesday morning all the entrances and bypass roads, leading to the Israeli Apartheid Wall, using sand piles, and barred access of local Palestinian farmers, mainly in the Zeta village.
