Israeli occupation soldiers arresting a Palestinian teenage girl, who was accused of stabbing an Israeli occupation soldier in the city of Hebron yesterday. Hebron is under siege and curfew for several days now. It's people are subjected to the brutal measures of Israeli occupation forces. (Al-Ayyam, 3/13/05).
PETER HANSEN RECOGNIZED: The UNRWA Chief in Palestine, Peter Hansen, receives Al-Istiqlal (Independence) Medal from Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayid in Abu Dhabi yesterday, in recognition for his sincere efforts in helping the Palestinian people. Hansen worked hard as a UN official in enabling the UAE institutions, particularly the Red Crescent Society, to rebuild the Jenin and Rafah houses which were destroyed by Israeli occupation forces. Hansen angered Israelis and their supporters by his criticism of the Israeli occupation brutal measures. They pressured Annan not to renew his contract, which ends by the end of March (Alittihad, 3/13/05).
