Millions of locusts are attacking Arab states in north Africa and the Middle East. The Egyptian clerics in Al-Azhar issued a religious statement encouraging Egyptians to eat it. Yemenis, however, don't need a religious edict. They have been waiting impatiently for the arrival of locusts to hunt it and eat it or salt it for future consumption (Alrai, 11/22/04).

Palestinian teenagers, Montaser Hadada, 15, AND Amer Shabat,16, were killed with bullets by Israeli occupation soldiers who also injured several others in the Palestinian city of Nablus today (IPC, 11/21/04).
