Israeli occupation forces fired indiscriminately towards a group of youngsters in Beit Foureek, wounding Mohammed Al Hanani with a live bullet in the head, Ferass Al Hanani in the foot, Emad Al Hanani, Zaher Hanani, Ahmed Hanani, and Khaled Nasser Allah. All received treatment in the town's clinic. Israeli occupation forces stationed near the illegal Israeli settlement of Ganei Tal opened fire on two Palestinian citizens, Mohammed Adwan and Younis Al Abadla, killing them instantly. Israeli military sources claimed both citizens were attempting to infiltrate Ganei Tal in order to carry out an attack there (IPC, 7/29/04).

A Palestinian male-nurse was wounded by Israeli occupation gunfire in the city of Khan Younis, according to medical sources. Ra'fat Eisa, 39, a nurse at the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, was shot and wounded while on his shift at the hospital. Hospital officials asserted that Eisa was moderately wounded with shrapnel in the neck when Israeli occupation forces stationed near the illegal Israeli settlement of Neveh Dekalim opened fire on the hospital (IPC, 7/29/04).

Attallha Muhajirani, former Iranian Minister of Culture, and his wife Jamila Kadiwar. Muhajirani was arrested yesterday after failing to pay a bail worth of 20,000 euros. He was accused of marrying a second wife and not registering the marriage. His wife Jamila stood beside him and denied the story. She said that the Conservatives are doing this to him to prevent him from running for president after President Khatami. (Assafir, 7/29/04).
 
   
The Israeli occupation government continues its unprovoked assassinations in order to provoke Palestinian retaliation, which will be used as a justification for more Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people. Yesterday, an Israeli air strike killed two Fateh activists in the Rafah refugee camp, Amr Abu Setteh (32) and Zaki Abu Zarqa (40). Zahi Al-Ashqar (27) from the Islamic Jihad, was killed by Israeli occupation forces in Tulkarem. Two other Palestinians were killed near an illegal Israeli settlement in southern Gaza Strip (Assafir, 7/30/04).
