President Arafat received a delegation of the Israeli
Peace Camp headed by Mr. Uri Avnery. He thanked the delegation for their
activities for peace and informed them of the developments in the
Palestinian territories in light of the continued Israeli aggression,
siege and the building of the segregation wall. On his part, Mr. Avnery
affirmed that "Arafat is our partner in peace and he is important for
