Ramadhan Spirit

Dear Friends:

Religion gives us moorings. It guides us through a value system, to keep us within the bounds of decency. Islam fills us with devotion towards the creator and enjoins us to be thoughtful and kind in our deeds towards all of God’s creation.

Ramadhan is a month specifically dedicated towards devotion and introspection, even more than usual. I hope this Ramadhan, provides us an opportunity to find emotional and intellectual balance and peace, rooted in justice and forbearance.

Life has always been a challenge and lively-hood difficult for a vast majority of people throughout the history. Modern times are not that different for most, except for one great difference. The disparity among the rich and poor has increased, and those who control, wealth have also become more powerful because of the horrible new inventions in the weaponry. Therefore the methods of wars have become much more lethal and easy to inflict.

Muslims have been especially in greater difficulties in the last decade. Let is resolve to desist from reaction to the deeds, taunts and tunes of others, who some times on purpose and some times innocently say things, we perceive to be insulting and injurious. Let us use our God given talents and abilities to indulge in our own agenda of up-lift, for the good of the Muslims and the humanity in general.

Let us hope pray and strive for an emotional and intellectual balance in our personal lives and in our communities to spread equity and peace. Thanks,

Mirza A. Beg

The Big Dog has spoken: Bush is doomed

My friend Aprille just sent me a transcript of Bill Clinton's recent appearance on Fox News. When referring to his all-out search for Osama bin Ladin back when he was President, our Bill really got into it! "But at least I tried," he expounded. "That’s the difference between me and some...including all the right wingers who are attacking me now. They ridiculed me for trying. They had eight months to try and they didn’t. I tried."

What Clinton is saying about all the "right-wingers" -- aka the same group that inflicted us with George W. Bush -- is very true. This isn't really hot news. All of us underground bloggers and "conspiracy nuts" have been saying something like this since approximately 9:30 am EST on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. So. Why, six years after Bush's total failure to act on security intelligence regarding Osama bin Ladin and/or the airplane hijackers, is all this so newsworthy now?

Because the Big Dog is dissing George Bush and his base right out in the open for God and everybody to see and hear!

Clinton has his pulse on the heart and soul of America. He KNOWS what America thinks.

So. If Clinton is actually coming out and saying something like this in public, then this IS news. It means that Bush is in deep dog dookie! Even more accurately than Gallup or Zogby, Clinton knows how America thinks -- and also how America will vote.

The Danes are unwanted in Iraq

Another Danish soldier has been killed in Iraq (September 23, 2006, translator’s note) while Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen is “settling with Denmark’s small state policies” by promising continuing supplies of Danish mercenaries to the US oil war.

Fogh Rasmussen claims that the Danish soldiers have been invited by an Iraqi government and that Denmark therefore must support it in the building of a democratic Iraq. But this “government” of detested exile Iraqi traitors “governing” on the lab of Bush, is illegitimate because the aggression on Iraq was illegal. The only legitimate government in Iraq is the one led by the imprisoned President Saddam Hussein.

The resistance struggle is becoming strengthened in Iraq. According to a report from the US military in August, the Iraqi Resistance has never been stronger than today. Recently, 300 tribe leaders in Northern Iraq declared their full support for the Resistance and demanded that President Saddam Hussein be released and reinstated as President. A few days later, tribes in Southern Iraq followed the example.

The Iraqis want the occupiers out. They can rebuild Iraq themselves, which they have done many times in the past. Claiming otherwise is racism.

THE BOSTON GLOBE Boston, MA

Re: A Deadline for Darfur

Dear Editor

Why the grand push for Darfur? It's getting a lot of publicity.

But there are hundreds of truthful pieces of news riding around on the Internet, proving that the genocidal and hourly antics of Israel against Palestinians, and now the Lebanese, has not prompted adequate news in the Boston Globe and other American news organs.

Genocide in the Middle East is just as much a vital piece of news as is the Sudan. And the genocide in that region is now probably into its 60th year.

Sincerely,

Carol Rae Bradford

Cal Thomas's editorial " Islam Where are the moderate Muslims? "

If Cal Thomas really wants to know where the "moderate Muslims" are (Cal Thomas's editorial " Islam Where are the moderate Muslims? " in the Miami Herald), he need not look any further than the many torture chambers established by this administration in the U.S and other countries.

No where is this more evident than in the recent case where the U.S detained a Canadian Muslim and sent him to Syria to be tortured. According to intelligence provided by the U.S, this individual was supposedly and Al Qaeda operative. However, this so-called intelligence turned out to be false. This individual's life has been destroyed because both the U.S and Canadian governments have allowed false information and the same Anti-Muslim bigotry frequently expressed by Mr. Thomas in most his columns, to influence American foreign and domestic policies with regard to all Muslims.

In addition, as Israel continues its campaign of wiping Palestinians off of the earth and the recent destruction of Lebanon with the full support of the U.S, as well as the lies which have lead us into the current debacle in Iraq, have lead to widespread anger and disgust throughout the Middle East and beyond.

If he really has the moral courage to face up to the many atrocities committed by the U.S in this current Crusade, also known as "The War on Terror", he would realize that he's answered his own question.
