Love of humanity, a great gift from God

God has placed this special love in my heart for the Palestinian people. My only wish is that one day the Palestinians will live free, and gain the happiness they so greatly deserve. They are in my prayers every night.

Thank You,

Melissa Williams

Summer of Terror? We're losing the war on inboxes? What?

You cannot BELIEVE what happened to me on May 28, the day my letter was published (or maybe you can).

Yahoo eliminated my mailbox! Gone! As if it never had existed. I called them! I called the ACLU! Yahoo gave no reason; refused to give a reason. All my addresses? Gone! THEN someone knew someone who knew someone who worked for Yahoo. And THAT is the only reason you are reading this.

It was a very scary experience. Don't even go there! Almost as bad as childbirth (not as bad as war thank goodness).

Regards,

Jane Stillwater

Islamic headscarf

I am an American first time reader of the Al Jazeerah web site.  I just read your response to two westerners about how women are treated in Muslim countries.

First I want to say that many of us, while curious about these matters, are not looking for another excuse to invade Muslim countries.  We are already appalled at the current invasion of Iraq and intend to vote against war makers.

Second, it is good to educate each other about how our systems work, so we can understand each other.  For example, it is not the rule that wives must take their husbands last name here.  Many do, but it is a personal choice.  My wife retained her family name when we married.

When searching on Google for Al Jazeerah Dalton only one sponsored link came up, namely

It made me wonder who 'Bunnykins' is and which politicians would make a good 'character jug'. Or it is secret code? Or maybe a mistake since politicians are hardly as fragile as porcelain figurines. Anyway, can readers suggest solutions to the mystery?

I know - not suitable!
