BOOK ON PALESTINE KEPT SECRET! WHY?! THE WORLD’S BURNING PROBLEM. THE WHOLE DECENT WORLD AND YOURSELF MUST KNOW ABOUT THIS WEB SITE This document of 383 pages contains tables and treaties and the original map of Palestine in the period of 1920 to 1935 under the British government seal. THE articles and info provided Hello. Thank you for providing this web site. It is refreshing to see a point of view that reflects what Arabs and other Muslims feel. I do not agree with the war in Iraq. I do not feel that people can solve problems by war ( it only prolongs the solution). PEOPLE SOLVE PROBLEMS BY COMMUNICATING, NOT BY BOMBING COUNTRIES OR BLOWING THEM SELVES UP. I do not follow Jewish or Islamic ideals nor do I follow Christian beliefs. I respect them. I do however, believe in Islam which I am told means "PEACE." Mr. Bush should stop the madness. I have voted "republican", most of my life but I did send Mr. Bush an e-mail that if he did not stop the war soon, that I would not be voting for him in November. I also believe that Palestine should be an independent State, given all the Civil Rights we have here in the United States. Peace. Sincerely, Joseph Taylor, USA
Berg It is becoming increasingly more vital to the world public to know if any person(s) of repute have actually seen this purported be-heading video, if it is all just hearsay, or whether it was an American inspired atrocity. There far too many unanswered questions surrounding this matter and it behooves the responsible press to clarify the event. We all eagerly await your response. Many thanks Chris Brett-Perring Editor: Sam Hamod saw the video. He’s skeptical about it. Read his article published in the May 13 issue.
READ HIS LIPS - THE ROAD MAP IS DEAD Dear Editor, The Middle East has been taken for a ride by the Bush Administration with another lie unfolding. Prior to the war, the administration clearly lied to the world about the threat posed by Iraq. What is not obvious then is whether Bush will keep his promise to 'ride along the herd" and push for the State of Palestine by 2005. Bush has never 'ridden with the herd' and has broken his promise made to the people of Palestine for a place call home. Not enough with lying, Mr Bush has taken contradictory actions by endorsing Israel's unilateral land-grabbing plan. The Road Map unveiled by Bush was to appease the Arab and Muslim countries during the run up to the Iraq war and to purportedly show his balanced policy in the middle east. After the successful regime change in Iraq, the Road Map is not needed any more. A very neat arrangement that most Middle East countries hope running high at that time prior to the war. The Middle East countries by now should realise what kind of man they are dealing with, a man who lied all the way during his term in office, a man who broke promises (and treaties) and a man who has contradicted his own pledges to the world. The story of the beheading of Nick Berg Esteemed Editor and Readers, The story of the beheading of Nick Berg, as it has been revealed so far in the international media, smells strongly of fish. He often has been referred to as a telecommunications businessman independently seeking work in Iraq. While this is not impossible, it is unusual for 25 or 26 year olds to have attained the status of "businessman." It would seem, furthermore, to have been at the very least unwise for such a "US businessman" to be wandering around alone in today's Iraq. Others have called attention to the surprising bloodlessness of the act as shown on the video clip revealing it. There is the further odd fact that the family of the young man in question is heaping accusation and blame for this event not on Iraq, Iraqis or any of their sympathizers but on the US government. In any case it is understandable that, at least in the minds of some, the penalty merely for being a US citizen in Iraq at this time might well be death. Finally, it might be noted that all of this might have been much different under Saddam Hussein. May peace be upon him under whatever deplorable conditions he may now find himself. Regards, Nelson Campbell (USA)
IRAQ ABUSE I am absolutely appalled by the action of the invading war-mongers in Iraq, who think they can change the whole world to their liking. I am a Canadian and proud of the fact that we wanted nothing to do with this illegal military action. It is one thing to hunt down terrorists, but it is quite another to kill citizens who are sick and tired of of the invaders running (ruining) their country. After all, everyone knows that the invaders are there solely to steal Iraqi oil. I don't think anyone in America gave a damn about the plight of the Iraqi people before this operation. And what about the American concentration camp in Cuba? With all this abuse and killing, this makes the Americans the same as the nazis in WWll. What's the difference? Germany and America both thought they could change the world by violence. But if you live by the sword, you die by the sword. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. That's Bush and Blair. To Americans, the most hated people are the terrorists, but to the rest of the world Americans are the most hated. For good reason. Canadians tolerate the arrogant, ignorant Americans solely for the tourist money they bring into our country. I am proud of my country and it's stand against the American and British war-lords. How long are the American people going to tolerate their people getting killed for Iraqi oil? These are not only my views, but a lot of Canadians feel the same way. Doug Kenney, Canada Editor: I hope that you, Canadians, and people around the world understand the difference between the American government and the American people. The American people did not make the decision to launch war on Iraq. The power elite who control the government did that for their own special interests. The American people will sack them in November and it will be a regime change in America but this time by the people, not by the war entrepreneurs. So, please differentiate between the American people and the American government whenever you, or other readers, address such issues.
SONIA SHOULD WORK FOR A BROAD COALITION In the moment of a great turnaround, the biggest mistake Sonia Gandhi will commit is to ride the Rath of arrogance of power. Congress has reaped the benefits of its own opening up to the people and coalitions. Sonia herself had shown great humility in making friends and influencing people. Let that new found spirit of opening up not be squandered by once again reverting to traditional Congress culture of disdain and contempt for others, even from its own side, now the time has come to form coalition government at the centers and let her prove to Indian people that if Vajpayee could ensure stability for full term by managing over 20 partners, she too can rise for the occasion. The victory for the secular parties as against the deserved defeat of Hindutva alliance should not be hijacked and monopolised by Congress to start its classic party culture of hauteur and haughtiness. Congress should understand that India has traveled great distance from the first Congress phase o! f 40 years. Lot has changed and Congress will have to change to a new party geared to serve the people and not resurrected to milk the government machinery for the good of the few hangers on. The old Rajiv truism should not be forgotten how the common people are left with crumbs of state largesse while the bureaucrats skim off the rest. The reform had focused on the upper echelons of the Indian society and direly neglected the great majority of lower income groups and rural population that forms the bulk of voters too. Sonia will have to set the balance correct without damaging the reform momentum. A tightrope act that will take some effort in the absence of any prominent figure except probably Man Mohan Singh, who is flexible and capable to initiate changes with some real commitment to the general welfare of the people. IMC-USA congratulates India's electorate for defeating religious extremism
New York, N.Y., Indian Muslim Council-USA, an advocacy group committed to protecting India's democracy and pluralism, congratulated the people of India for voting the ruling Hindutva-fascist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) out of power. According to poll results carried by various media outlets, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies suffered an electoral defeat the scale of which no pundit or exit poll had predicted. Dr. Shaik Ubaid, the President of IMC-USA, called the results an important victory for secularism and a testament to the work of grassroots social and secular organizations and the ethos of the country. He said, "India has always been a secular country and the overwhelming majority of its citizens want to live in peace and harmony with each other. The rejection of the BJP and its Hindutva-fascist ideology serves notice to those espousing hatred that Indians will never accept another genocide in Gujarat or anywhere else in India." Dr. Ubaid however warned Indians and the Indian diaspora not to let their guard down in the euphoria of BJP's defeat. He reminded people that the work of detoxifying young minds contaminated with the Hindutva-fascist ideology is yet to begin, as is the campaign to roll back the hate propaganda that permeated the Indian educational system during the rule of the BJP. Dr. Ubaid also said he was particularly delighted at the maturity of the Indian Muslim voter. He said, "The days of the self-proclaimed and BJP-blessed leaders trying to mislead the Muslims for their own personal benefit is over." In this election, Dr Ubaid added, Indian Muslims voted according to their conscience and rejected the appeal of Mr. Arif Mohammed Khan, Mr. Waheed Uddin Khan and Mr. Ahmed Bukhari, the Imam of the Jama Masjid in New Delhi, to vote for the BJP. http://www.imc-usa.org/cgi-bin/cfm/PressRelease.cfm?PRID=79
Iraqi Prisoner Abuse Editor - Concerning the mistreatment by our military of the Abu Gharib prisoners: Based on comparisons by some of the more irrational elements of our political spectrum of this incident to "torture" and "brutal abuse", I have come, inevitably, to the conclusion that the Holocaust revisionists among us must be right. After all, how could anyone possibly have survived, in some cases, well over ten years of actual torture, beatings, degenerate medical experiments and starvation, as well as the horror of daily life in Hitler's death camps? I think it is important that we get, and keep, some perspective on this issue. The American military personnel involved should be prosecuted accordingly, and the prisoners guaranteed that such incidents will not recur. Period. As for the US and its military's standing in Iraq and the rest of the world, many, if not most, of the countries decrying our treatment of these prisoners of war are hardly standing on an Everest of high moral ground. Thanks for publishing David Little's piece Thank you for Davifd Little's piece on Abu Ghraib in today's edition. It explains something complex (psychological warfare) in accessible and simple language, and the vocabulary does not pigeon-hole the writer as a political partisan, or as an intellectual or as particularly religiously devout, so the usual filters against reading and listening are all neatly disarmed. DON'T BUY GAS ON MAY 19TH !! DON'T BUY GAS ON MAY 19TH !! Don't buy gas on Wednesday, May 19th BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES. AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES. THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED. "We're not going to take it anymore day. AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT DAY. THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT. WAITING ON THIS ADMINISTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO? REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" Charles A. An open letter to the people of Iraq Demands to leave Iraq are growing quickly worldwide. Citizens and soldiers alike, unable to justify the occupation and destruction of Iraq and the wanton waste of human life, are demanding that Iraq be left to Iraqis. In response to this spreading anti-occupation sentiment, American citizens like me are being told that occupation forces will leave Iraq sometime after June 30, if and when Iraqis ask them to leave. Our politicians quickly try to cover this outrageous lie by adding "but I don't think Iraq will ask us to leave." Despite the daily body counts, the Bush administration wants us to believe that American forces are seen as your liberators and that the occupation forces are welcomed by most Iraqis. Many of us are stupid enough to believe it. (Twelve years ago, 23 percent of Americans over 16 couldn't read, and schools have deteriorated since then, so you can understand why so many adults believe whatever they are told on television.) People of Iraq, show the world with pictures that they want the occupation forces to leave. Paint the word GO in big letters on your buildings, on your roads, and on your vehicles so that every news media image of Iraq shows the world that you want to be left alone. Do not allow yourselves to be trapped by coercion and empty promises. Just tell the intruders to GO. Hang banners, signs, and posters bearing the word GO. Your rights and sovereignty will be acknowledged when all foreign forces are gone, not before. Despite your internal differences, can you not agree on that single goal? The world is watching you, and the majority of us do not want our military or our government in your country. We have no business there. Few can hear your gunshots, but all will see your signs. Show us. Tell us to GO. Mark Yannone Phoenix, Arizona
