A Solution to Mid East Conflict

I have the solution to all the problems in the Middle East. Lets change the name to Palestisreal or Israelistine. We can call the people there Muslijews or Juslims. Then, we'll build a bunch of McDonalds restaurants, so that the people will become so fat and lazy, they'll stop killing each other. Jew kills Arab, Arab kills Arab, Jew kills Jew, Arab kills Jew.

Let's just send them all to the moon.

David Warn

Editor: It's impossible to send them to the Moon. There's an easier solution: The US stops financial and military support to Israel. Then, Israelis will withdraw from the Palestinian occupied territories. The war stops.

Iraqis tortured by US military

I have recently heard on the news about the US soldiers abusing and torturing Iraqi's they have captured. I suspect this is not an isolated incident and many more exist we will not hear about. I was angered and saddened by the humiliation these men went through at the hands of the soldiers but not in the least surprised

Four contractors were killed yes very tragic for them but those men were mercenaries and  their death  while not deserved as nobody should have to be killed was not unexpected. This is what comes of invading a sovereign nation. The US has now killed 600(maybe more) in retaliation for the death of the mercenaries. Thousands are also homeless and injured. Four Americans die and it's a tragedy 600+ Iraqis and not many care. The media says collateral damage where people are mutilated and dead in the case of the Iraqis and heinous crime in the case of the Americans I do not know if Iraq will recover from what America has done to it. Saddam Hussein did not always treat Iraqis well if they disagreed with him but I think he did good in Iraq too re education and health (before sanctions) It is a pity he did  torture those in prison and very sad. He should be tried fairly in an international court for this. However Bush is a hypocrite to criticise as he keeps people without trial in Guantanamo Bay and he should be tried as well in an international court

55% of Americans don't support Bush

Dear Editor,

I'm find myself sick and angry at the way our president is conducting his foreign policy. More than anyone, the American media has a responsibility to inform and educate the public on the actions and intentions of this administration yet, save for a few small liberal stations, they don't. The American people want to believe that their government is acting in the best interest of the world but their naivety will only be shed if the American media educates them. It is incomprehensible to me that some 45% of the people in this country support Bush and his war but it is encouraging that there is a good 55% who don't.

My first goal is to foster meaningful dialogue with my fellow American citizens but I'm also interested in creating dialogue with those outside this country. Anyone with half a brain and a little bit of heart can tell that what we are doing in Iraq is not only unjust but unlawful. I, along with so many others in this country are frustrated that our voice is not being heard. I'm desperate to find a place, outside the US where myself and others can voice compassion to the Iraqi people and admonish President Bush and all those who support him. This is after all Bush's war, not an American war. Do you have any suggestions on how I and those like myself can be heard? Would your editorial section include selections written by Americans? I know many talented writers who could contribute insight into the minds of Americans who disagree with the Iraqi invasion. Could this be something that you or another news organization would be interested in?

Media Watch: Jenin Documentary Zionist Propaganda on Canadian Global TV

Hi there.

There was a documentary about Jenin aired in Canada on Global television, named "Massacring Truth", which... does exactly that ! Zionist-style disgusting lies, it was so cruel propaganda it was hard to watch. Like, as an example, they told that the corpses were fake corpses, because the flesh shown on tv had begun to rot, and everybody knows that flesh takes a couple of weeks to rot and it was a couple of days later... You know, just like the neo-nazis tell people that there were no concentration camps because of this and that, for example pictures show a German soldier smoking next to a place were Zyklon-B was supposedly used, and you couldn't smoke next to a ZB infested area (that is NOT true). Then you had an Israeli soldier talking, and besides him was the seven-branches Jewish symbol... Sorry for the nazi comparison, it is a bit overused, but it is exactly that: nemesis ; the Jews were victims of the nazis' racist genocidal policies, and now they have become like the Germans were, they always lie, Gobbels-style. They want no peace, they want a Greater Israel, cleansed of inferior races, and they of course want to dominate the entire world, which they do with their US slaves. All those conspiracy theories are true: you are with them or against them, and when the US will attack your country on their behalf it will be too late to cry and say "How couldn't I realize it?".

Cheers,

Patrice Goulet  Montreal, Québec.
