Could it be: ETA is being blamed now for Spanish bombings - so Aznar will be re-elected - when in fact El Kaida bombed for revenge because Spain joining in the war in Iraq ? Especially when US said its ETA - its so much better for Aznar, if it was ETA -.... Just wondering..... Hard to know what to believe anymore anyway - too many lies everywhere.

The alliance between Neo-Cons and the Dispensationally-deluded portion of the Christian Right has given America perpetual war, perpetual terrorism, and an increasing slide toward the New World Order. Who are Falwell, Ralph Reed, and Pat Robertson really working for, and toward? How tainted with AIPAC money are the American Presidential and Congressional elections? Mike Whitney, as usual is at his best in his latest contribution, "War Games: America's Media leads the charge".

It is about time that the media was exposed as part of the BIG AMERICAN LIE.

It was so outrageous how the media - and not just FOX or CNN which are the main culprits - selectively reported on the build-up to the Bush war. Good research and critique was mostly emulated, even with mainline media like New York Times. Just when responsible and free media should have been telling the whole story, it shamefully caved-in. In Canada, we were almost as bad, there were some editorials against the war, but Canadian media mostly parroted the US Big LIE. What is so laughable is that this is called 'freedom of press'!

The absolute last straw was the media rush to 'embed' itself with US military, in actual fact they "inbedded' (embedded). War is not a game, but that is exactly what it turned into on our TV screens. When the media went to bed with the US military FOX and CNN lapped it up. Bush and cabal had the effrontery to condemn the Aljazeera TV network as 'distorting' facts!. Well, hello Bush and cabal, Aljazeeah was reporting the truth on the ground, war in all its horror, not acceptable or palatble to the war mongers, whose main aim was to sanitize the horror, with non-brainers like "smart bombs", 'targets of opportunity', 'collateral damage' (resulting in over 10,000 deaths, and God only knows how many more were wounded.) Now the US is talking about developing 'smart mines'! But the media has hardly made any mention of this. No end to the madness! We have to keep exposing unceasingly this irresponsibility and lapse of press freedom,
