Victims of the earthquake and tsunami

As Salamu Alaikum Late last night I heard the initial reports of the mega-earth quake near Sumatra while writing my emails about the incitement on fox tv and worried about the Tsunami.

By this afternoon (NY time) my worst fears were coming true.

My heart goes out to the victims mostly poor in areas torn by strife like NE Sri Lanka, Southern Thailand, Somalia. In other places such as AP, Tamil Nadu. Maldives, Bangla Desh, etc. its mostly the poor fishing communities that will be worst hit.

This show us how fragile our lives are and how we must use our time here to make this world a better place. If Muslim relief organizations are doing any fundraising let us help them. May Allah help the victims and help us all.

Water Gaza

We a international group of Turkish, Israeli, American (NJ and Maryland based ) and other business interests are examining in close details issues (over the last 4 years and see a light in the tunnel) needed to open a trade onto the Gaza Coast via the Gaza Port.

The input product will be water in bulk volumes. Water will be lifted by permit from either the Turkish water depot or French water depot as each depot offers advantages over each other. End-use applications of water stand forth on such decisions. Output products via this opened logistics chains are those found in edible oils and region specific agriculture products.

Development banks in the region have reviewed the project and have advanced requirements to open such trade.

Numerous questions are found anchored in reducing the mortality and morbidity of water borne disease in the Gaza Strip.

I'd like to open a line of communication on this project.

I stand ready to address any questions and remain

A Christmas Story of Peace and Love

Hello Editor,

Christmas should be a celebration of peace. Once, exactly 90 years ago, in 1914, it really happened!

I'm a Belgian, this 1914-story happened 30 Km away from my birthplace.

A Christmas Story of Peace and Love

By Nick Barbash The Daily Cardinal

This Christmas Eve marks the 90th anniversary of a wondrous event that will likely never happen again. On the night of Dec. 24, 1914, soldiers of the British Expeditionary Force and the Fifth French Army were huddled in trenches along the Western Front near the Belgian town of Flanders. They had ceased combat operations and were preparing a small Christmas celebration. Approximately 250 yards across the combat zone known as no man's land, the German First and Second Armies were doing the same within their own cold and dirty trenches. For both sides, Christmas was a brief respite from a war that was only five months old but whose horrors of poison gas, heavy artillery and death by the thousands had already eclipsed anything previously experienced in human history.
