I read your long article on Zionism, and I laughed because after pages of pages of information, and dozens of citations, you could not even give a correct definition of Zionism.

It is a very simple concept, the yearning of the Jewish people to return to their homeland, to create a Jewish state. That is all. Zionism is a Jewish ideology, because it deals with a homeland for Jews. While it is not an ideology that can only be adopted by Jewish people, its founders and supporters are Jewish.

To state that "It has called for the establishment of a Jewish homeland in Palestine on the expense of the Palestinian people. " Is a (impolite words deleted). In fact Theodore Herzel, the founder of Zionism almost accepted building the Jewish state in Uganda. He chose not to create the state there because Uganda was not the land of Israel, and he felt that the Jewish people deserved to live in the land of their forefathers (a right which the Arab world has, but tries to deny Jews that right).

I also find it interesting that you claim that Zionism used America and other Western governments to further its "imperialist project". It's interesting that you claim that Zionism is by definition imperialist. In fact, Theodore Herzel was a socialist, and envisioned a mostly socialist state (proof is the fact that Kibbutzim which are socialist institutions were the foundation of Israel). This idea of an imperialist Israel was concocted by anti-Israel writers and leaders.

Continue to share you opinions, just as a doctor I would expect you to share truths. Get your facts straight about a government which you would so quickly like to be destroyed.

First, the definition is the title itself, "Zionism is the highest stage of imperialism." It's amazing that you yourself wrote it, "Zionism is by definition imperialist" and still wonder about the where the definition is.

Second, there is no Jewish people, Christian people or Muslim people. Judaism, like Christianity and Islam, is a religion, not a nationality or race.

Third, Palestine is not the homeland of Jews. It is the homeland of the Palestinian people (Muslims, Christians, and Jews). Being a Jew does not give you an automatic right in Palestine. Majority of Jews are converts, not descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Go back to your Bible and read again. You'll find out that the promise was to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (the Palestinian people), not to Jews, many of whom are descendents of the Khazars. Fourth, yes, there is a minority of socialists in Israel, like there are socialists in most countries. However, the overwhelming characteristic of Israel, as a Zionist state, is imperialism. The occupation of Arab lands in 1948 (the Galilee, parts of the West Bank, and parts of Gaza), 1956 (Sinai and Gaza), 1967 (Sinai, Gaza, West Bank, Golan), 1978 (South Lebanon), 1982 (half of Lebanon, including the capital Beirut).

Finally, concerning how Zionists help Israel further its imperialist project, read the literature about the neo-cons. It's time for people to rethink about the horrors that Zionism brought to the world generally and the Middle East in particular. It should be dropped in the dustbin of history, like its other European counterparts, Nazism and Fascism.

In reference to the article Christian Zionist by Craig Nelson December 29, 2003, those Evangelical Christians must have never heard of Jesus and know nothing about true Christianity for being so eager to stand behind and support evil, oppression and daily murder of Palestinian children and civilians by Mr. Sharon and his Israeli government all in the name of the Promised Land and all against what Jesus and Christianity is all about.

The God of Israel in the Holy Bible has called his chosen people a group of vipers, stiff necks, wicked evil doers for having constantly tried His patience in depriving the poor of their rights and robbing the oppressed of justice. Until a sign was delivered to them through the prophet Isaiah: "The Virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel" Isaiah 7.13 and Mathew 1.20.22 Jesus the Saviour was born to grow up and raise hell against His own people with courage and righteousness exposing their wickedness and evil doings until his truthfulness couldn't be swallowed anymore and He was crucified on the Cross. What an irony now 2000 years later the Evangelical Christians are supporting what Jesus has fought and died for.

Note: Bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel was meant for the man called Jacob who's name was changed to Israel by God more than 500 years before the Exodus from Egypt when no land on earth was called Israel yet.

The name Israel for the land of Canaan was given more than 40 years after the Exodus around 1250 BCE by the Egyptian Jews who conquered Jerusalem after the death of Moses and ruled it for 521 years only until the exile of the Jews to Babylonia according to the Holy Bible.

Since the Holy Bible is a reliable historic book then people must not get misled by false declarations that Israel existed since the beginning of time as some Israeli politician would like you to believe.
