The article by Richard Curtiss exposing Israel's manipulating of its so-called intelligence on Iraq is most telling. The former Israeli General Schlomo Brom effectively shatters the 'invincibility' of Israeli intelligence, showing how insidious and dangerous it really is. And the so-called US intelligence is just as insidious and dangerous!

The US - and the Bushies more than other US administrations - are so entranced with the Zionist Israelis, they are so wedded as to be inseparable, blindly following one another over the abyss, blaming others for their failures. The distortions and manipulations of truth by both the US and Israeli governments have been clear for a long time. The terrible Iraq war waged by the US using Israeli intelligence is but the most recent example. In the brutal US occupation of Iraq Israeli army tactics are now being employed, doomed to failure as in Israel. Violence keeps escalating.

So now I wonder if Schlomo Brom will be labelled 'anti-Semitic' by the Zionists? Anyone who is critical of the present Israeli government policies vis-a-vis the Palestinians is immediately labelled anti-Semitic! For the neocons in the US today anyone who is critical of the destructive Bush policies, especially the unprovoked war against Iraq is labelled "unpatriotic" or "liberal", and nothing could be further from the truth which is reduced to the simplistic 'if you are not with us you are the enemy'.

To be critical of the present Israeli government policies and behaviour is not being anti-Israel, which has every right to exist just as any other nation. It is its own worst enemy causing more violence. In the same way the US administration is its own worst enemy in the way it shamefully bullies the world in the name of 'democracy', the way it carries on the terrible 'war on terrorism' which causes yet more terrorism! To be critical of this US bullying does not mean that one is anti-American, it means being in solidarity with those Americans who are also critical of the destructive Bush Administration. To be critical of the destructive Sharon and his government is to be in solidarity with those Israelis who want justice and peace. It is this solidarity which will result in a peaceful world for all.

Do you have suggestions for any well established organizations/programs offering volunteer positions in Palestine? Additionally, due to the current tension in the middle east is it even suggested for an American to go over there at this time. I understand the U.S. government wouldn't suggest it, but I thought someone in your organization might be able to clear fact from fiction.

Editor: The UN has a lot of work and services in Palestine. Go to the UN website. You may contact the Palestinian Authority websites in Palestine or in Washington, DC. Finally, you may contact the International Solidarity Movement through their website. All available in the internet.

Sharon's comments on “Fortress Israel” are diabolical. Sharon is the terrorist as the UN document on the Right to Food reveals. Nearly 10% of Palestinian children under 5 years old are now permanently brain damaged due to imposed starvation and dehydration policies by the Israeli government, and approaching one quarter of children under five are at severe risk of permanent, irreversible brain damage. This is genocide on the sly... an answer to the Arab demographic issue.

Weakened bodies are also susceptible to diseases ... supplied courtesy of costly Israel disease-laden, non-potable water which Palestinians are forced to purchase due to Israel policies of destroying Palestinian reservoirs, water pipes, wells and roof top wells, which the UN report also documents.

Sharon is a tyrant to the Palestinians. His evil can be compared to Saddam Hussein's, complete with torture chambers. And as was Saddam, Sharon is a creation of the USA. America backs Israeli policies by blocking UN actions that would benefit Palestine and by footing all the bills for this New Age Holocaust against an innocent people, the rightful heirs of the Holy Land, the Semite descendants of Abraham who now live on less than 9% of their original territory.

And once the racist Apartheid Wall is completed and the “accepted” settlements expanded, how much land will remain? If allowed to continue with their special Israeli accounting practices… one for you, two for me…perhaps all that will remain for Palestinians is a memory.
